  1. Hope Almost Human makes it through Comic-Con this year as does Revolution and many other cool TV shows that are coming up this upcoming season.

  2. Kresh says:

    Anything about Supernatural?

  3. David says:

It appears the San Diego Comicon has been completely hijacked by the studios to promote everything they are putting out whether or not it has anything to do with comics, sci-fi or geek culture in general. I love Bones, SOA and HIMYM but none of those and many other shows have anything to do with the original drive behind the convention. It is just one big marketing tool that is piggybacking on the back of the current trend of comics, etc being the big moneymakers in media. I don’t blame the studios because they are just trying to conduct business but all this does is drive up the admission and merchandise prices for the average fan boy/girl making it more difficult to attend. I blame the organizers who have become greedy and have forgotten why they started the convention in the first place. It also creates a glut of bodies at the venues who have no interest in the small independent artist, writers or publishers who attend these shows. As a result the real fans can’t get close to them because of the sheer size of the convention. One of my best friends stopped going because it stopped being worth it. He writes/publishes a small but successful independent comic and the increasing size of Comicon with attendees only interested in getting autographs from sitcom stars has hurt his sales significantly. I know this isn’t going to change as long as the organizers continue to make money but I just had to rant a little to get this off my chest.

    • Carla says:

      Boohoo.

    • DarkDefender says:

      Bitter, party of one.

    • Ugh says:

I hear you buddy. Every year my friends and I look at each other at the end of the con and question if we’ll return. It’s changed so much over the years. I’m sorry to hear about your friend. I wish there was some happy medium because there are newbies who come to Comic Con having never read a comic book but start reading them after they attend. I love hearing those stories.

  4. Kim says:

Will there be any TV broadcasts of Comic-con? G4 is changing format so. Don’t know if they will cover it.

  5. DarkDefender says:

Keeping my fingers crossed for a Castle panel.. (And the sure bet GoT, TB, BBT panels)

    • Ugh says:

Sorry no Castle panel again this year. Hopefully Nathan Fillion will do a panel for Nerd HQ again this year.

  6. luli says:

No Castle? Let’s hope it is announced soon…

  7. Steve F. says:

No Glee panel announced – heard it wasn’t coming this year, Agents of SHIELD = Ballroom 20 (aka, time to camp out). And to the people bemoaning how the studios have turned Comic-Con into a pop culture fest – so? It’s a good time to be a geek, and Comic-Con has become Geek Central. If you want to go to a real comic book convention, there’s several in California to choose from (plus Wonder Con is around).

    • Ugh says:

No Glee this year thankfully. I’ve been attending Comic Con for going on 12 years now and there are of course people who have been attending much longer than I have. For the newbies who are saying suck it up. I don’t think you understand how ridiculous some of the studios have gotten over the years. One year a studio sent Jessica Alba to promote a romantic comedy. I mean come on! No one in the room cared. People purposely asked embarrassing and sarcastic questions. It was pretty entertaining I must say. Anyway the movie bombed at the box office and I don’t think we’ve had anymore romantic comedies return to Comic Con. I personally don’t mind the studios that much BUT know your audience. As for S.H.I.E.L.D. I really hope they put it in Hall H were it belongs but they probably won’t because it’s a new show.

  8. Ella says:

Yay for HIMYM! Random thing I’m hoping for–NPH and Jason Segal singing the ENTIRE Confrontation Song….but that’s just me =)

However, Castle NEEDS to be at Comic-Con. I mean seriously! I love OUAT….but S2 was much less amazing than S1. Don’t get me wrong, Castle had its weak points too…yet it would be my preference between the two shows

    • Ugh says:

It seems like ABC is trying to send shows that mesh more with Comic Con now a days. They are also cutting back on how many shows they send as well. Most believe it’s because of D23. Last year I think they only sent OUAT (fantasy drama) and 666 Park Ave (supernatural drama).

  9. Ugh says:

    Defiance was confirmed for Friday.

  10. Leah says:

how much do you think the shield swag will be going for on eBay?

  11. Can I hope for a Nikita panel?

  12. Lyss says:

Can I hope for one last Psych panel for what looks like their last season? (: Not that I am gonna be able to go or anything, but youtube videos are fine!

  13. Stormageddon dark lord of all says:

John Barrowman will also be coming!

  14. Lilu says:

    No Castle Panel… This $uckS!!!

  15. Michelle says:

    Doctor Who? :(

  16. borntorun12 says:

    Where’s Haven?

  17. Diane says:

Wish Mitch Pileggi could be there for the X-Files reunion. Great line-up this year.

  18. D says:

What happen – No Emily Deschanel?????

  19. Ebbgal says:

Anyone know why Lana Parrilla isn’t going to be there for the OUAT panel?

  20. shawhs says:

Glad for Haven.I hope we get media reports from that panel. Glad to see to see tvline doesn’t ignore the show . +5 for you tvline.

  21. Jerry says:

Hope Hulu gets streaming of all this?

  22. Mohamed says:

  23. Alice Buckler says:
