On TV this Wednesday: Psych tries to get an Anthony Michael Hall pass in its season finale, Inside the Actors Studio celebrates 250 episodes (and countless blue cards), Baby Daddy and two more ABC Family shows are back and Blake Shelton and friends hold a helpful hootenanny. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features, here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.
7 pm Inside the Actors Studio (Bravo) | In a two-hour special celebrating the series’ 250th episode, James Lipton sits down for new interviews with former guests including Silver Linings Playbook‘s Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro, former American Idol judge/pop diva Jennifer Lopez and The Tonight Show‘s Jay Leno.
8 pm American Baking Competition (CBS) | Series premiere: Comedian Jeff Foxworthy (The American Bible Challenge, no relation) hosts this amateur bake-off.
8 pm Arrow (The CW) | Repeat to Revisit: Come for Stephen Amell on the salmon ladder, stay for the start of one of the past TV season’s most thrilling new dramas.
8 pm Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) | Season 3 premiere: Mel worries that Joe’s new job opportunity means he’ll actually leave, so she works overtime to prove how much everyone needs him. Sterling Knight (Sonny With a Chance) guest-stars.
8:30 pm Baby Daddy (ABC Family) | Season 2 premiere: Ben thinks he might like Riley, so he tries – and fails – to convince her he’s changed his playboy ways. Meanwhile, the lady in question finds herself in the company of a handsome new guy (guest star Matt Dallas, Kyle XY).
9 pm Healing in the Heartland (Various networks) | Voice coach Blake Shelton organized this relief benefit concert – at which he’ll be joined by guests like Darius Rucker, Usher, Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert – to help his fellow Oklahomans affected by last week’s tornadoes. (The show also will air on Style, G4, Bravo, E! and CMT.)
9 pm Rogue (DirecTV) | Season finale: Grace is hospitalized following a brutal beating; Alec schemes to take over his father’s business. (Not yet renewed.)
9 pm Dancing Fools (ABC Family) | Series premiere: Think of this new show as America’s Funniest Home Videos: Shake What Yer Mama Gave Ya Edition. Baby Daddy‘s Melissa Peterman hosts.
10 pm Psych (USA Network) | Season 7 finale: Breakfast Clubber/Dead Zone psychic Anthony Michael Hall guest-stars as an eccentric police consultant brought into the SBPD to interview Shawn, Gus, Lassiter and Juliet about their seemingly poor work on a current case. (Already renewed – and how about some scoop to tide you over until the show’s special musical episode later this year?)
10 pm The Lookout (ABC) | Series premiere: This news-y new offering from the Nightline team promises “there’s almost nothing we won’t do” – including go on an international hunt for an infomercial “king” who allegedly swindled lots of people – “to help you get more out of your money.” OK, thanks…?
