This Wednesday on The CW’s Arrow, the Dark Archer takes aggressive steps to make sure that alter ego Malcolm Merlyn’s hands are clean when The Undertaking goes down — and we’ve got a sneak peek.

With The Undertaking just days away — it’s set to take place during the Season 1 finale airing May 15 — Malcolm (played by John Barrowman) dons his grim garb to “conclude business” with seismologist Dr. Brion Markov (onetime Fringe Observer Eric Floyd) and his team at Unidac, which developed the tech necessary to make the well-dressed man’s end game possible. Based on the video clip below, I really hope they got paid up front.

Elsewhere in the penultimate hour of the hit freshman drama, “hooded confrontations at home and the Merlyn Global Group reveal dark secrets,” The CW teases.

  • I wonder if we’ll ever learn where Malcolm learned his archery skills, like we are now with Oliver. I know the flashbacks are typically Oliver, but I’d be interested to know how a white collar billionaire learned to shoot a bow and arrow so accurately!

    • He left for two years after his wife’s death and went to Nanda Parbat. I assume that’s where he met someone who taught him how to use a bow and arrow.

  • So used to affable Capt. Jack that this is genuinely chilling! Kudos to John Barrowman for not ending up typecast and really adding to this stellar season.

  • Malcolm is no joke. But given how his wife was killed, I wonder how he justifies killing innocents? I’m sure he does, I’m just wondering his rationale in that regard. The showdown between him and Ollie is going to be very interesting….

    • it was shown last week that he went off the deep end when his wife was killed, in his mind he is a hero for doing this and that to him is all the justification he needs.
