Royal Pains Scoop: Community's Danny Pudi, Grimm's Claire Coffee, Tony Winner Land Roles

Danny Pudi Royal Pains CastDanny Pudi is ditching his Greendale digs for some fun in the Hamptons sun.

TVLine has learned that the Community star is one of several guest stars on board for Royal Pains‘ upcoming fifth season (bowing June 12).

Pudi will turn up on the USA Network drama as a rising radio personality who visits HankMed when he begins to lose his voice prior to an event that could make or break his career.

Grimm‘s Claire Coffee is also slated to appear in Pains‘ upcoming season, playing the owner of a Hamptons-area doggie hotel, while Tony Award winner Stephen Spinella has booked a multi-episode arc as Paige’s (Brooke D’Orsay) difficult new boss.

  • Ugh, Royal Pains is so dull now, even Danny Pudi couldn’t make me tune in. Season 1 was great but it has steadily got more boring since then. Bring back Boris, the Evan/Divya sparks, the young and enthusiastic Hank/Hankmd team and maybe I’ll consider tuning in.

  • I agree. The show has gone seriously downhill. Getting rid of Jil was a big mistake and the show has never been the same. I no longer care who wants Boris dead or why.Bring Jill back and I might come back.
