    • You failed to mention that Hawaii 5-0 had a rerun so maybe that’s why Castle’s numbers were up so much.

      • Actually NO!!! Even without Hawaii 5-0, Castle’s numbers are pretty high!! Hawaii 5-0 is dipping and hasn’t reached 10 million viewers at least for half of the season this year !

  • Beautiful numbers for Castle last night, especially considering that ABC changed the episode sequence, creating some confusion, and that the promo for The Squab and the Quail was released just on Friday!

  • Great Castle news! Can ABC renew it already?!

Comment by Rachel – April 23, 2013 08:59 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • ABC will probably announce all its renewals on its upfronts on 14th May.

  • Castle will probably win the hour in the finals once the DTWS and Voice overruns are taken out of the equation. Since Castle rater higher than DWTS, it will not be adjusted down while Revolution will given that it rated much lower than the Voice by about 2 ratings points. The half hours for Castle were 2.3/2.2 versus Revolutions 2.4/1.9

  • it think that’s proof enough that Castle is continuing to pull in new viewers. it’s a beautiful thing to see. still one of the best shows on TV. I admit that i’ve given up on Following so not paying attention to its numbers. i am liking Revolution more and more though so good to see its steady.

Hey Matt would it be possible to get Defiance’s numbers or is it too soon. i was curious to see if it kept a good portion of its premiere viewers or not.

  • The Voice was great last night…and will probably rise a tenth of a point or two in the finals (and top 14 million viewers), as usual. Revolution was also really good, and it’s hard to imagine it not being renewed for next season at these demo levels. It’s always amazing to me that DWTS can reach 13 million viewers with such low 18-49 numbers…how old is its audience?

  • The ending of house was just stupid and annoying, more so that the clip show next week was meant to be the episode before this one. If you are going to get the couple on the show together they need to do a better job than they are. All they are doing is dumbing down Castle and making Beckett get annoyed. Plus it seems like they are leading up to them getting engaged, which I think is just way too soon, or break up, which will never work.

    • You didn’t like how House faked [spoiler]…?

  • I don’t get it. How does CW stay on the air with a half million viewers a night and dropping?

Comment by Plum – April 23, 2013 10:08 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • The CW is still on the air? ;-) Actually, they’re still on the air because CBS makes so much money with their powerhouse ratings schedule that they can afford the losses at The CW. Not so sure about the Warner Bros. half.

  • The Following was so great last night!! Glad it’s doing well in the ratings!

  • I’m a bit surprised that Bones didn’t go up any. I really hope it does next week, though, with it being the finale. But CBS will be new so…

Comment by Sarah – April 23, 2013 10:16 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • I’m actually happy that Bones is staying steady. I think with it being 8 seasons into the series and still keeping such high numbers says a lot about the loyalty of the viewers and the quality of the writing. I’m just glad that it has already been renewed for season 9!

    • After quite a few boring filler episodes this was actually a really good episode of Bones. Even though I dislike the Arastoo character and never really bought into the romance with Cam it was a nice change of pace. Can’t wait for Pelant next week!!

  • Great to see the Following and Revolution numbers doing well. They are both really great new shows that are exciting to watch week after week. Cannot wait till next week’s finale of both Bones and the Following!!

  • i actually prefer how they re-scheduled the 2 castle episodes, because in the next episode (“Still”), according to the canadian promo, castle hears 3 very important words from beckett that hasnt been spoken yet.

  • The Following is awesome! Can’t believe the fine is next week. Revolution is good, the best part being Elizabeth Mitchell. Hoping they don’t kill off her character.

Comment by Thari – April 23, 2013 11:29 AM PDT  Reply To This Post

  • Anything on how “Rules” did? I’m still a die hard fan and holding out hope for a season 8

    • With the primo crop of CBS sitcom pilots, there is no way RULES makes the cut, again.

  • REV drops to a 2.0 in finals. Wow.

  • Wow!!! Castle adjusted up to a 2.3 in the finals, beating Revolution and it did better than DWTS!

Comment by Andrea – April 23, 2013 02:09 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Well done Castle, ever since they focused on their relationship ratings are higher and higher. I think Marlowe learned from his mistakes and judging by next week’s promo ABC is all about Caskett.
