  1. Brandon Rowe says:

Ok. That “spinoff ” was not what I was thinking of… but then again I think you knew that.

  2. Mark says:

Jesus, Ausiello, you really need to quit it with these desperate, misleading headlines.

  3. So excited on August 11th. :-)

  4. Zach says:

Thanks a lot AMC, I thought that was a confirmation for Better Call Saul. I NEED more Bob Odenkirk.

  5. zacqua10 says:

I thought TV line was better than this. Why are you doing more bait headlines? It looks trashy and unprofessional. This isn’t TMZ.

  6. lisa says:

As others have said, that’s not a breaking bad “spinoff” in any way shape or form. But hey, you got me to click on the page! Way to go

  7. RobMF says:

Is @Nerdist hosting Talking Bad? If so, That’s great. Chris is awesome. I hope they film it on the Talking Dead set.

  8. LynnH says:

HAS to be Chris Hardwick. Fans will accept no one else!

  9. Don’t tell me Chris Hardwick will moderate this one as well.

  10. TV Gord says:

Once again, people are grasping for something to complain about. The headline is clear. How would a Saul series in any way be a “Talking Dead spinoff”. I understood the headline. It’s not misleading.

    • Zachary says:

It says “Launch of Talking Bad” spin off. Talking about a spinoff of Breaking Bad. There was already talk about Better Call Saul. It’s very misleading.

      • TV Gord says:

Yes, but it doesn’t say “Launch of BREAKING Bad” spinoff. THAT would have been misleading. The headline refers to Talking Bad being a spinoff (which, incidentally, it’s not…it’s a talk show about Breaking Bad). Anyway, it’s not misleading at all. People who can’t read the headline properly should be blaming Michael for their own sloppiness.

        • TV Gord says:

          “shouldn’t” be blaming…

        • Mark says:

I believe the headline originally just said “Launch of ‘Spin-Off'” without any mention of Talking Bad. That’s also all Ausiello says in his tweet linking to the article. Also, the term ‘Spin-off’ is still extremely misleading because a talk show discussing Breaking Bad is not in any way, shape, or form a spin-off of the original series.

          • TV Gord says:

Thanks, Mark. I didn’t know that about Michael’s tweet.

Unfortunately, words such as ‘spinoff’ and ‘reboot’ are routinely misused these days (Hawaii Five-0 is a reboot; Dallas is not). It’s an uphill battle trying to get people to use the correct terminology.

      • TV Gord says:

…and there was also talk of a the Talking Bad show LONG before there was any talk of a Saul spinoff (which doesn’t have a title, by the way).

  11. lisa says:

He changed the title. So thanks for that too ausiello for helping smart people like the guy a couple comments up who think they’re the one amazing person that can read

  12. Anna says:

Why is everyone complaining? If you’ve ever listened to the Breaking Bad insider podcast, you know this is going to be awesome!

  13. Gene Snider says:

why can’t direct tv quit with all this nonsense in the programs they show like walking dead ,,breaking bad ,,dish dropped A&e ,,why can’t direct ,,don’t we as paying customer’s have a say at all,,or just quit watching direct programing
