What to Watch Friday: Spartacus' Final Battle, Un-Happy Endings, Da Vinci's Demons and More

Spartacus War of the DamnedOn TV this Friday: Starz bids adieu to its brave Spartacus (and says benvenuto to Da Vinci’s Demons); Happy Endings is plagued with a big development; and it’s not summer, but Vegas is going back to (Anna) Camp. Here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm Nikita (The CW) | Birkhoff hears Alex’s confession that she wants to leave Division, and Amanda begins providing Owen with the elusive memories of his real past.

8 pm Undercover Boss (CBS) | ADT bigwig Tony Wells deals with a life-or-death situation while posing as one of the security company’s employees.

8 pm Happy Endings (ABC) | Back-to-back episodes: Brad and Jane’s couples’ game night quickly gets out of hand. After a major development, Penny thinks it’s time to write and stage a play about the Black Plague. Also, Alex and Max are approached to become “tastemakers” (watch a preview clip).

8 pm Fashion Star (NBC) | The buyers work one-on-one with the contestants.

9 pm Spartacus: War of the Damned (Starz) | Series finale: Spartacus and his outnumbered rebels make one last attempt to win freedom in an epic final battle against the Romans. (Star Liam McIntyre calls the episode “devastating” – find out why!)

9 pm Vegas (CBS) | Michael Chiklis directs tonight’s episode, in which Dixon and Yvonne visit Violet (returning guest star Anna Camp, The Mindy Project) at a Los Angeles movie studio. Meanwhile, Mia is shocked to see her presumed-dead mother (Melinda Clarke, Nikita) show up at the Savoy.

10 pm Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz) | Series premiere: This “historical fantasy” from Batman Begins‘ David S. Goyer follows the legendary artist/inventor during his turbulent 20s in Renaissance Florence. Tom Riley (Monroe) plays the young genius; the cast also includes Laura Haddock (Strike Back), Lara Pulver (True Blood) and Blake Ritson (The Crimson Petal and the White). (Check out a preview!)

10 pm Blue Bloods (CBS) | Linda stops Danny from questioning a wounded man involved in drug deals and murders. But when he dies during surgery, the couple battles over the judgment call.

10 pm 20/20 (ABC) | Beware the Internet Casanova! The news magazine looks into a 29-year-old man who scammed and robbed more than 38 women in at least seven states. His hook-and-reel of choice? Online dating sites.

10 pm Rock Center With Brian Williams (NBC) | Among tonight’s stories: Kate Snow sits down with volleyball Amazon and model Gabrielle Reece to talk about her new book, My Foot Is Too Big for the Glass Slipper.

  • Reelz channel’s “XIII” should be on the list. It stars Stuart Townsend, and is a series about a compelling Bourne-Identity type character. It airs at 10PM and repeats at 11PM.
