  • Vertigo is the worst villain to have appeared in Arrow so far. Waaaaay too comic booky.

    • This is a comic book show though.. I can’t wait for this episode, Tommy getting accused of murder, Quentin getting a warrant for the club and asking to open the door of Arrow cave, the Doctor that helps Vertigo pulling the hood off Oliver and forcing more Vertigo into Oliver.. sounds like an epic episode to me,

      • “Comic booky” is a term to refer to the way something is presented, i.e. the 60s Batman TV show. It has nothing to do with where the concept originates.

When Alan Arkin tells Audrey Hepburn in Wait Until Dark that Richard Crenna and the other guy have “comic book minds”, he doesn’t actually mean that their brains are made out of paper and have drawings and text on them. He is calling them simple-minded.

    • Badger and the character Anders played came off as better villains than Vertigo has. They were more credible. Vertigo is cartoonish, comic booky lame.

    • Agreed. He’s too campy, we can’t relate to him at all; too “clearly evil”. And Seth Gable is a good actor, I’m a bit disappointed with this.

    • I put him in a box with the likes of Nolan’s Scarecrow. Psychotic is as psychotic does. We’ll allow it.
