Babysitting, it appears, is not like riding a bike.

Hence the blank stares Sarah Chalke‘s Polly encounters as she leaves instructions for her parents, who are about to watch their granddaughter for the first time, in this exclusive sneak peek at next Wednesday’s premiere of ABC’s How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) (9:30/8:30c).

The multi-cam comedy executive-produced by Claudia Lonow (Accidentally on Purpose) follows the recently divorced Polly as she moves back in with her eccentric parents, Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins) and Max (Brad Garrett).

Press PLAY on the video below to watch Max and Elaine try to absorb all of Polly’s (slightly neurotic) directions — “This is endless,” her dad kvetches — and then hit the comments: Would you leave your child with these two?

  • I think this actually looks very funny and has a great cast. Hope it does well but I have seen very little promotion for it but then again I don’t normally watch ABC.

  • I don´t think Sarah can carry her own series even though i love her. Probably will be cancelled.

  • Sarah Chalke in nerd glasses…. SWOON! Now all she has to do is show off the ‘girls’ like she did on Scrubs (the only reason to watch that retched show).
