Human is an action-packed buddy cop show set in the near future when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. Kelly joins the previously cast Michael Ealy (Common Law), Lili Taylor (Six Feet Under), Michael Irby (The Unit) and Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean).

In addition to playing FNL‘s virtuous Lyla Garrity for three seasons, Kelly was one of the title characters on ABC’s short-lived Charlie’s Angels and has appeared on NBC’s Parenthood.

  • Hope it’s better than the dreadful Charlie’s Angels.

  • Looks like Minka Kelly is still done with Parenthood if it gets renewed for a fifth season by NBC but her new gig may get picked up as a series for Fox just because it’s a J.J. Abrams-produced series. BAD ROBOT

    • Will there be a role for her sister Leighton Meester?

      • Everyone is sick of that comparison. The point has been made.

      • Leighton is not Minka’s sister. These two worked together in the movie The Roommate (go rent that movie) but these two ladies are lookalikes. HELLO!

        • Yeah, that was probably what RichieS was saying. Jeez, lighten up, know it all.

  • Love Lilly Taylor! She’s such a cool actress, good for her. Soon every show on TV will be produced by Abrams, an NCIS spinoff or written by Shonda Rhimes.

  • I love sci-fi shows but this just seems so boring to me.

    • I don’t know why the entertainment media has not yet reported that this show is basically supposed to be Blade Runner. … according to Joel Wyman. That makes it interesting to me.

  • So what is the title of this show actually? First it was reported as “InHuman,” then the last I heard was that it had no title yet, now it’s “Human”? Preferred “InHuman” to be honest. Then again, all Abrams shows seem to require a single word in the title, perhaps InHuman was too complicated :-)
