The project, penned by author/journalist Lisa Takeuchi Cullen and exec-produced by Frank Marshall (War Horse, The Bourne Legacy) and Larry Shuman (Devious Maids), centers on the son (played by Boardwalk Empire‘s Charlie Cox) of a Kennedy-esque family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated.

Garcia will play Carlos, the law firm’s staff investigator — a.k.a. (at least to Good Wife fans) the “Kalinda” of the group.

    I can’t see him in a serious role… He’s just too cute and cuddly…

  2. forwarddad says:

    Not seeing it.

  3. Pam says:

Love Jorge. He can do it. Kalinda isn’t always serious either.

  4. Jay says:

I can’t stand lawyer shows, so no!

    • Me says:

I agree! There are far too many lawyer, procedural, doctor, and “reality” shows on TV! Can’t we get something else? Heck a used car salesman exconvict looking to be redeemed would be far better then a ex-priest lawyer.

Also why does he have to be an ex-priest? Couldn’t he just not preach?

  5. likestrek says:

Perry Mason’s Paul Drake or Matlock’s Tyler or Conrad given the gender would have been better comparisons. If that makes me too old then how about the investigator on Made in Jersey?

As for the casting, he fits better than Dan Roebuck…

  6. JBC says:

Just loved Jorge on LOST. Glad he is in this new show.

  7. Azerty says:

I thought he was too buzy ruling the island.

  8. Georgia says:

Are you forgetting how great he was in the short-lived Alcatraz series? And i really liked him in last week’s California episode. He can do about any role.

  9. Georgia says:

That was supposeed to be last week’s Californication.

  10. Matthew says:

Is Jorge’s character going to be bisexual too?

  11. Celeste says:

How does him being an attorney prevent an assassination??? So confused.

  12. mia says:

Sounds awesome!! And that’s some talent behind the screen too.
By ‘male kalinda’ I thought you meant openly pansexual…cause that would be awesome

  13. rmcepp says:

    He doesn’t look like Kalinda.

” Jorge Garcia Cast as a Male Kalinda”
I never thought I’d ever hear those words in my entire life.
I had no interest in this series, but now I’ll check it out if it goes to series.
