Oscar winner Sorvino, meanwhile, is set to star opposite Jim Gaffigan in a CBS comedy pilot (penned by Gaffigan and Peter Tolan) about a guy who lives with his wife and five kids (!) in a two-bedroom (!!) New York apartment, our sister site Deadline reports.

Also per Deadline, Soffer has landed a lead in NBC’s modern-day Hatfields & McCoys, playing Patrick, the McCoy clan’s prodigal son who upon returning home after years away reignites the legendary family feud when his father is gunned down and all evidence points to the Hatfields.

  • CW is really missing an opportunity with Bridget Regan. They should take a serious look at her for “Amazon”, the proposed Wonder Woman series. I took it as a hopeful sign that she was on “Beauty and the Beast”, but if her pilot is picked up that would be great for her, but bad for “Amazon”.

    • Thank you Bridget is destined to play Diana, she would be perfect for the role. their loss. loved her in LOS so i’ll definitely tune in for it if its picked up, the premise of the show sounds pretty trite and uninspired though.

  • I love Bridget hopefully the show will get picked up. Last season I was excited for the Frontier but it never got picked up. Now what about Craig Horner? He needs a better agent

  • Those are great news! I love Bridget Regan’s work and I think she’s so understated. She’s a great actress and deserves many more roles.

  • I think Leigh-Ann Larkin would be great for the lead. I know its just my opinion, but Leigh-Ann has the “IT” factor all over her! She can totally match wits Ms. Annie Potts, and that’s a tall order!
