Get More: Casting News

Kristen Wiig Arrested Development As far as casting news goes, this is about as good as it gets: Former Saturday Night Live superstar Kristen Wiig is set to make an appearance in Netflix’s anticipated Arrested Development revival as a younger version of Jessica Walter’s boozy matriarch Lucille Bluth.

As noted by Vulture, which first broke the news, AD leading man Jason Bateman likely orchestrated the casting coup, given his off screen friendship with Wiig (the pair co-starred in the comedies Extract and Paul).

Last month, Netflix announced that Arrested Development‘s 14-episode fourth season would be available sometime in May.

In addition to Wiig, guest stars on tap for the relaunch include Seth Rogen, Liza Minnelli (aka Lucille 2), Conan O’BrienJohn Slattery (Mad Men)Chris Diamantopoulos (24)Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) and Terry Crews (Everybody Hates Chris).

It’s amazing what proper grammar can do.

        • ROFL!!!

Oh, and this is AWFUL! Which “delightful” tics will she bring to Arrested Development. Oh well, they didn’t let Chachi be awful so maybe they’ll rein her in also.

    • when you hate her, why are you leaving a comment??
No one wants to know whether you like her or not, we simply don’t care.
Some people are happy about that and really don’t need to read your little ‘i hate her…’
maybe I hate you, idk but I would certainly not leave that in a comment concerning you”!

      • That’s stupid. This whole thing is people basically saying they like her or not. You didn’t act like a whiny teenager when others said they liked her, so clearly you DO CARE whether someone likes her or not. So the real question is why are YOU leaving a comment about someone else’s comment? I am certainly more interested in whether someone likes or dislikes her than in someone who is just whining about someone with a differing opinion.
