TVLine Items: GH Brings Bobbie Back, OLTL Vet Joins Andy Samberg Pilot, AMC News and More

General Hospital is continuing its trip down nostalgia lane with the return of Bobbie Spencer.

Jackie Zeman took to Twitter Wednesday to announce her homecoming, gushing that she’s “so happy” to be invited back to the ABC soap.

Zeman is the latest in a long string of Port Charles-bound GH vets, including Genie Francis (Laura) and Kin Shriner (Scotty) — who debut in the coming weeks — Lynn Herring (Lucy), Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) and Jack Wagner (Frisco).

  • Michael E Knight has to return to AMC. Over the years, Tad had become the heart & soul of the show, even more so than Erica Kane IMHO. His battles with Adam Chandler were epic as was his love for his kids & desire to be a positive influence. It isn’t AMC without Tad in Pine Valley. I always thought that Tad & Dixie could be the next generation’s Joe & Ruth Martin, grounding the show, if given the chance.

    • Agreed! I love Tad!

    • If Tad and Dixie return, that’s pretty much all the incentive my mom will need to watch this new setup :D.Those two were classic together.

  • So happy about Bobbie’s return to GH. Was sick of Dixie years ago on AMC. I ff through all her scenes since her last return from the dead. I know they are only soaps but shouldn’t there be a limit on just how many times a charter can come back from the dead?

  • Thrilled that Bobbie is coming back to GH but I could care less about AMC and OLTL. Given all the unethical nonsense that Prospect Park has pulled over the OLTL actors on GH I will not be watching any PP show.

    • Wow, I can’t believe people are boycotting PP. I got news for you, there are NOT the villains in this, ABC created this mess when they cancelled OLTL in the first place. To many people, myself included have worked to damn hard to get AMC and OLTL back and to hear any talk of a boycott is just infuriating to me!!

    • In what way are they “unethical”? They licensed the characters from ABC and paid good money for them. They are completely within their legal and moral rights. Why don’t you make an attempt to understand the meaning of the word “unethical” before you carelessly (and incorrectly) throw it around?

Oh, right, you’re a soap opera watcher. I shouldn’t have expected so much.

      • Miffy,
If you think so little of soap opera watchers, why did you click in to the article?

  • Geez, next to sci fi fans soap fans are the worst. They waah-waah-waah’d back when abc nixed the two soaps and because it took longer to resurrect the shows(understandable btw considering the massive productions they are) now they’re crying and threatening boycotts because some characters have to go back to their original show. Ffs, there are a ton of fans of shows who wish they got this second chance. Get over it and be happy.

    • To Damien
Don’t mess with soap fans. We are very loyal and if anything disrupts our soap, we aren’t nice.

      To everyond else
Yay for Bobbie! Now to make Georgie and Alan to bring back from the dead

      • That’s why most people think soap opera fans are dumb (not to mention lazy).

  • Very excited about the potential of Cady coming back as Dixie, she was one my favorite AMC characters. I hope this is the incentive for Michael to rejoin the cast.

  • No matter how often they kill that Dixwad, she keeps coming back. She’s like herpes.

  • Have really loved all the returns on GH, especially Frisco!!! Just get back Stamos and Springfield (again) and it will be a trifecta of perfection. As for “Bobbie”…meh…the plastic fantastic face of “Nurse Spencer” is really just too frightful to experience. Pass…….
