TVLine Items: Watch Y&R Preview Steve Burton's Arrival, Walking Dead Alum Joins Dexter & More

Trading in Jason Morgan’s edgy leather jacket for a prim and proper peacoat, Steve Burton is headed to The Young and the Restless — and we have a sneak peek touting his arrival.

The promo finds the General Hospital alum arriving in Genoa City this week as Dylan McAvoy, Avery’s presumed-dead veteran ex who returns to town to take over the family business. And if, in the interim, he swipes his former ladylove away from resident stud Nick Newman, so be it… right?

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

• Erstwhile Walking Dead inmate Nick Gomez has landed a recurring role on Dexter Season 8. Details surrounding his role are being kept under wraps for now, but the actor — who announced his casting via Twitter — says that it’s recurring.

  1. Cathy says:

The Kris Jenner item should not have been read during lunch.

  2. Danielle H. says:

NO NO NO to the Kris talk show. There is no way enough people will watch to have it get to syndication, but come on. Enough is enough. There is hardly anyone that truely likes this family. Everyone wants to just watch them crash and burn, which is sad. (not mad @ TVLINE for reporting FYI.. that’s their job)

  3. Ace says:

Nick Gomez going to Dexter is the best news all day. Loved him on Walking Dead. Shoulda let him stay longer.

  4. TVPeong says:

Jason Morgan and Nick Newman in the same show. Yummy!

  5. DMC says:

I have never watched any other soap than General Hospital for the past 30 years, but with my favorite guy, Steve Burton, going to Y & R I will have to follow him. One piece of advice, though, Y & R, have him take his shirt off at least once a week!

  6. Cynthia says:

I am so glad to see Steve Burton back on television. He is a great actor and he is easy on the eyes.

  7. Chet Norris says:

    kris jenner? yuuuuuchh!

  8. France says:

I for one am upset about Steve Burton on The Young and the Restless. I realize this comment may seem o the writers as a positive but it is not. I have watch General Hospital for years and thought finally Jason & Sam after such hard trials. They should not have killed him off. It was a punch in e gut.
