UPDATE: Due to a schedule change, only the first episode originally scheduled for Jan. 29 will air on that date; the Valentine’s Day episode will air another day.

The pics below are from the first of two episodes to air on Jan. 29. At 8:30/7:30c, Mindy thinks Novak’s Jaime is absolutely amazing… until she learns he’s a little too close to his female best friend (played by Californication‘s Eva Amurri Martino). In the second episode of the evening (at 9:30), Ms. Lahiri attempts to fix the situation by setting Jaime’s galpal up with Danny on Valentine’s Day.

Take a peek at the photos below, then hit the comments: Are you looking forward to seeing Kaling and Novak together again on screen?

  • I am embarassingly really excited for this. Love these two together! It’ll be really interesting to see BJ play a different kind of role against Mindy, especially since the two of them wrote these two episodes!

  • I wanted to like Novak in The Office because of what I knew he was doing behind the scenes, but on camera he was such a slimy jerk! I hope he turns out to be a likable guy in Mindy. He needs to have a ‘good dude’ part.

  • Knew he’d guest star as a love interest for Mindy. I think they secretly love each other in real life.

  • Hands down the worst new Comedy this season. Not a single redeeming quality about it. Sad considering how awful The New Normal is.

    • Why come to the post if you are just going to be negative? If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all!

    • On the contrary, one of the best new shows if not all of comedy. She has the “That Girl”, Mary Richards quality that has been missing the last decade or so!

  • She always looks so awesome on this show. The hair/make-up and wardrobe departments are seriously earning their pay.

  • This is the funniest new comedy this year. Still finding its footing, but it consistently makes me laugh.

  • Please don’t cancel this show! We just discovered it and it’s one of the few shows that my husband and I like together!
