As if that’s not enticing enough, executive producer Jonathan Nolan says, “If James Bond and Sarah Connor had a kid, Shaw would kick its ass.”

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

Terry O’Quinn is headed back to the island — for Hawaii Five-0, that is. CBS tweeted that the Lost actor will reprise his role as the mysterious Joe White later this season, and McGarrett will have “a LOT of questions” for him.

The Mindy Project has upped Ike Barinholtz, who plays offbeat male nurse Morgan, to series regular, creator/star Mindy Kaling announced Tuesday  at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in Pasadena.

Talk about kismet: The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles star Anthony Michael Hall has joined MTV’s Awkward, which creator Lauren Iungerich has said was inspired by the films of John Hughes. Per EW.com, Hall will appear in a multiple episodes as “a sadistic creative writing teacher that pushes the students out of their comfort zones,” though there’s a method to his madness. Additionally, Nolan Funk (Glee) will appear as a confident new prep school transfer to Palos Hills.

Burgess Jenkins (Nashville) and Joshua Henry (Broadway’s The Scottsboro Boys) will recur on the upcoming seventh season of Lifetime’s Army Wives as the husbands of new cast members Torrey DeVitto and Ashanti, respectively, per Deadline.

  • Sarah Shahi as a paramilitary terrorist-hunting assassin? Sign me up. In fact, can we just go ahead and make that into its own show right now? I’d certainly clear my schedule.

    • Ooh. Yes please.

Can we then kill Nick Brody and bring Damian Lewis into that show? I miss Life.

  • I hate Sarah Shahi. From her role on Dawson’s Creek to Fairly Legal she’s a horrible actress and putting any focus of the show away from CARTER FUSCO REESE AND FINCH is IDIOTIC. Gahhhh

    • Okay, putting aside the general trolliness of this comment for a sec… When was she on Dawson’s Creek?

    • I agree %100…the series doesn’t need the obligatory long legged piece of a** running around in high heels and acting tough…..there are already 3 strong female characters in this series who are more than capable of handling the job…. Shahi is nothing but tailbait for the little boys in the audience… *yawn* Don’t mess with an excellent show by bringing in someone who doesn’t measure up to the rest of the cast by a long shot.

  • Just make Miles a new regular cast member and forget all these other imposters.

    • As much as the producers seem determined to keep the core four and not add any more people, I will give out a +1 for Ken Leung to be added to the cast any day. He’s awesome.

    • I think it’s possible to create a show that successfully juggles more than four characters. Examples: Pretty much every good show. Ever.

      • What about any shonda rimes show or NCIS & NCIS:LA? They juggle more than 4 characters and are still amazing.

  • Burgess Jenkins was already a guest star in Army Wives……..but his character was around for two episodes (and not really important), so we probably won’t know the difference ;-)

  • Was there ever an announcement about Fairly Legal being cancelled or renewed? I don’t remember seeing one!

  • Why add her to an already successful show? It’s unnecessary. The gorgeous petite female acting tough and taking down men twice her size in seconds…please! And the fake raspy voice is too much.
