Exclusive: Smash Finds Its JFK -- Plus, Watch the New Season 2 Trailer

Smash Season 2 Spoilers: Julian Ovenden as JFKMore than a bit of Camelot is coming to NBC’s Smash, with the casting of a British actor as Bombshell‘s John F. Kennedy.

Julian Ovenden, whose TV credits include the UK series Foyle’s War and Any Human Heart, plus ABC’s Cashmere Mafia — has landed the role of Simon, the actor who will play opposite Karen Cartwright as Marilyn Monroe’s infamous Canoodler-in-Chief, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Ovenden, a tenor who won choral scholarships to Eton and New College Oxford, will appear in multiple episodes of Season 2, after the role was beefed up considerably at the time of casting.

    I reached the point a couple of months ago that any network that blocks Canadians from clips get off of my “buy the season DVDs and support the show/network” list. I know it won’t make too big of a difference, but it makes me feel vindictively happy.

    Yay very excited.. although that promo was nearly identical to the first one. I hope they haven’t totally cut out Megan Hilty though. Her character might be annoying, but she is hella talented!
