The Office Exclusive: Jon Favreau to Direct!

Jon Favreau The Office Season 9Iron Man auteur Jon Favreau will be paying a visit to Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch before it closes its doors in May, albeit behind the scenes.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the actor-writer-director will helm an episode of The Office later this season.

The onetime comedian is still ironing out his specific Office hours, so it remains unclear which installment he’ll preside over.

This will mark Favreau’s second time calling the shots on a half-hour comedy. He previously directed an episode of Fox’s late, great Undeclared. His other small screen directing credits include Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the pilot for NBC’s Revolution, on which he also serves as an exec producer.

The Office will wrap its ninth and final season in May.
