Bates Motel First Look: You Can Check Out Anytime You Like, but You Can Never Leave

Get More: First Look, Video

Two new teasers for A&E’s upcoming Bates Motel pack plenty of creepy into just a handful of seconds. (Nice work, Norman.)

The glimpses are our first peeks into the cable network’s upcoming Psycho prequel, starring Freddie Highmore (Finding Neverland) as a teenage Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) as his ill-fated mother. Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights) are behind the project.

In one, a peaceful waterfront scene turns horrific when you realize that the firefly-like sparks floating in the air are coming off a pair of dangling human legs… on fire.

In the other, the camera pans what looks like a basement until it lands on a sink – and the person (we think it’s a woman) chained underneath.

  • Kind of feels like they’re trying to do the AHS thing with these videos… But I’m still excited for the show.

  • Psycho is one of my all-time favourite movies. The teasers are great, just hope the series is too

  • Neat blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog shine.
Please let me know where you got your design. Bless you
