Arrow Scores True Blood's Janina Gavankar

Laurel Lance, meet your competition.

True Blood shapeshifter Janina Gavankar will recur on The CW’s Arrow as a vice cop and face from Oliver’s past, Zap2it reports.

Gavankar’s tough, sexy and formidable officer, McKenna Hall, enters the picture when a sketchy new drug called Vertigo becomes all the rage in Starling City — which also marks the introduction of Seth Gabel’s villainous foe.

Complicating matters, McKenna and Ollie share some history from the days before he disappeared.

Gavankar’s TV credits include The League, The Gates and The L Word. She also has a recurring role on Fox’s upcoming new comedy The Goodwin Games.

  1. the last name Hall could be ominous.

  2. ChuckieChk says:

:) All she needs now is Carter Hall

  3. gary says:

Janina is insanely hot in that picture

  4. Alan says:

what sort of first name is mckenna, seriously thats a last name. anyway the hall last name is probably going to come to nothing but i can hope for an introduction of the hawks. anyway this seems to confirm that not-vertigo will be a major player coming into the end of season 1 because normally if they needed a cop they would just use quentin, so they have to have something planned here right?

    • michelle says:

What’s wrong with the name mckenna. I happen to know a mckenna and it’s starting to become a popular name like all those other last names as first names are becoming popular(chase, reed, logan, hunter, etc.)

  5. April says:

    Shivakamini Somakandarkram!!!

  6. Hoping her shirt stays on…

  7. Sammy says:

She’s been cast in a few things lately…I wonder if that’s the end of Luna!

    • aleksa says:

Considering when True Blood airs, they can probably accommodate her shooting schedule. Carrie Preston (Arlene) has what I think is a recurring role on The Good Wife.

  8. sladewilson says:

good pickup – Janina is hot!!!

  9. tvdiva says:

Good for Janina. She has multiple story arcs on multiple series. I wish her well.

  10. rikes says:

Hopefully she’ll have more chemistry with Oliver than Laurel does.

    • rocco says:

it not happen. Wish another million years.

Oliver/Laurel have more chemistry and will be more popular.

      • rikes says:

        They have no chemistry.

      • B says:

Oliver and Laurel have ZERO chemistry. Maybe it’s the actress, but that whole relationship just feels forced. I know they want us to see them as soul mates ripped apart by circumstances, both longing to be together again some day, but I don’t buy it one bit.

        • rocco says:

whatever haters, they have a following that love their massive chemistry.

So you are DEAD WRONG. Your opinion is BS. Keep on feeling green suckers.

  11. Jazz says:

Grrrr, yet another female character on the show to sex up Oliver.

Give us some SEXY & HOT BLOODED MALES dannit. Emphasis on Hot & sexy. Besides Oliver all the other guys on the show are not eye candy.

  12. Jam says:

Anyone else get an ick factor during the scenes with Thea and Oliver? I fell like she has a major crush on him.

  13. bhm1304 says:

That picture makes you realize why even “Jenny” fantasizes about “Shiva” when self pleasuring. Everyone needs to do a Shiva-blast!

  14. Triss says:

    Are you kidding me show?

You better not have brought her to hurt my OTP. What kind of history is this, better not be another cheating story. I will be so done with this show.
