  1. MrMank says:

I love how 1/3 of these are from 24.

  2. AD_Foster says:

My favorite TV President! A good leader and a nice guy in person too!

  3. Amanda says:

Where is President Grant from Scandal????

  4. lellen says:

In career highlights for Laura, you forgot “Being a massive spunk”

  5. jill says:

    Bartlet for America! The best.

  6. scoboot says:

As much as I love Jed Bartlet, I cast my vote for Laura Roslin. She was badass when she had to be, but just the right amount of presidential most of the time.

  7. Kendal says:

It’s a toss up between President Bartlet and President Palmer. Both badasses in their own right, I would have voted for both of them!

  8. Stacey says:

No one can touch Jed Bartlett of the West Wing. Wish he could exist in real life. But I guess that charm existed in Clinton. Anyways, the show may have been a little fantasy. But it did bring up a lot of real world issues. And made you think. And have a view at times. Love the show soooooo much!

    • Amy says:

Agreed! No one can beat Bartlett, especially when he gets up on his soapbox and is on a role … even God doesn’t make it through Bartlett’s path unscathed …

  9. KSM says:

No question – Jed Bartlet, hands down.

  10. EveatEden says:

Jed Bartlet, then Roslin! Bartlet is hands down the BEST though.

  11. MoxieSue says:

    Laura Roslin!

    • Ari says:

Exactly. My personal favorite Laura Roslin moment is during the second half of the 4th season when Zarek and Gaeta lead a mutiny and Zarek tells Roslin that Adama is dead. She makes that speech about how she’ll come at them with everything she’s got right down to her eyeteeth. It’s such a great moment. you can feel her strength as a leader just radiating from her. LOVED IT!

  12. omabin says:

laura roslin is one of the best characters ever from any tv show! always!!

  13. Lp says:

    Jed Bartlet without hesitation

  14. crys says:

I’d go with Fitz and I am a card carrying democrat!! lol I’m for anyone who isnt too extreme and I don’t think he’d ever threaten Roe v. Wade :) (though not sure about that vice president)

    • Mary says:

I just started watching Scandal this season and while I do like Fitz I don’t have a lot of confidence in him as a President. His wife and chief of staff circumvent him way too easily.

  15. Rachel says:

I would seriously vote right now for Jed Bartlett for President! Laura Roslin can be VP…or Secretary of Ed!

  16. karl says:

I see Nathan finally made it into the white house

  17. Ace says:

Is there an option for a Bartlet/Roslin ticket? He really could have used a quality VP.

  18. Lo says:

    Laura Roslin all the way!

  19. Shell says:

Laura Roslin, please and thank you.

  20. Amanda says:

As much as I love this list, you should make a list of “13 Memorable TV First Ladies”.. they are sometimes just as important. With their manipulating ways and, at times, worthy contributions. :)

  21. Amber says:

    Roslin and President Palmer.

  22. GeekGirl13 says:

    Jed Bartlett. nuff said.

  23. VCI says:

Umm, I never watched 24, but how did it have a new president each season. That’s like 6 presidents over the course of 8 days, right??

    • Amanda says:

It has been years since I watched it… but I believe between the Days/Seasons, some time has passed and they skip ahead different intervals.

    • Chad says:

The show didn’t take place over 8 consecutive days you moron. Tyhe President was even a featured character in season one. David Palmewr was President during the second and third seasons and President Taylor was in office during season 7 and season 8.

  24. Monique says:

Scandal’s President Fitzgerald Grant III all the way. <—–Only time I'll prob vote for a republican LOL

  25. Mikaylah says:

President Josiah Bartlet will always be my favorite fictional President.

  26. GeoDiva says:

    No contest… Bartlet for America!

  27. Jodi says:

    Jed Bartlet

  28. Thomas says:

President Barlet – the person all politicians should aspire to be (minus the covering up of a disease, though better that than some other things!).

  29. debwiz says:

Jed Bartlett hands down. Oh how I wish he was running for Prime Minister of Canada. Our prime minister is Mr. Romney’s clone. Oy…

  30. Briana says:

Thank you for putting Robert McAllister on here! So many people forget that Jack & Bobby was even on the air.

  31. Mrs. Ben Covington says:

Having not seen the West Wing, my vote goes to President David Palmer – HANDS DOWN.

  32. Gwen says:

Jed Bartlet!! (David Palmer is a very close second.)

  33. opus says:

    Jed Bartlet, unquestionably!!!

  34. Bob Smith says:

I have to go with Richard Nixon’s head in a jar from Futurama. Disapointed he’s not on the list.

  35. gary says:

How could you forget Acting President Glenallen Walken and his little dog!? I loved John Goodman in that role even if it was for like 3 episodes

  36. Bartlett, natch! Such a great Prez i can almost forgive him for bein’ a Democrat!

  37. chistosa says:

No contest. Martin Sheen as Jed Bartlett. Presidential in every way.

  38. Sarah says:

    Bartlett for Prez!

  39. katy917 says:

Jed Bartlett, hands down. Followed by David Palmer. But by god I love Jed Bartlett!!!

  40. Evelyn says:

Laura “Frakin” Roslin. So say we all…

  41. Ashle says:

President Bartlett, hands down. How is there any contest? He ran the nation American’s wished they lived in.

  42. Bella says:

    President David Palmer

  43. Mizz O says:

    David Palmer, hands down…

  44. Khaatim Boyd says:

Good ‘ol Jed. If you remember, there was a satirical conversation Aaron Sorkin made between him and Obama a few years back. Enough said!

  45. Marco says:

    Bartlett for America!

  46. ljd213 says:

It’s Laura Roslin in a landslide, if she chooses not to serve and to go off with her soul mate, Bill Adama then it’s Jed Bartlett. You can’t go wrong in either case.

  47. Caroline says:

Jed Bartlett, without a doubt. Bartlett for America!

  48. Gerald says:

Bobby McCallister 100% and I would have voted for Jack had he made it into politics. LOVED that show. Next best was Palmer and Roslin

  49. applescruffs says:

“Do you know that when smallpox was eradicated, it was considered the single greatest humanitarian achievement of this century? Surely we can do it again, as we did in the times when our eyes looked towards the heavens and, with outstretched fingers, we touched the face of God. Here’s to absent friends and the ones that are here now.”
    Bartlet for America!
