    • I never watched 24 but reading through the list I was definately wondering how they ran through so many presidents.

  • As much as I love Jed Bartlet, I cast my vote for Laura Roslin. She was badass when she had to be, but just the right amount of presidential most of the time.

    • Yeah! Laura Roslin FTW

Comment by Kate – November 6, 2012 04:21 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • It’s a toss up between President Bartlet and President Palmer. Both badasses in their own right, I would have voted for both of them!

Comment by Kendal – November 6, 2012 06:39 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Me too! Love both of them!!!!

  • No one can touch Jed Bartlett of the West Wing. Wish he could exist in real life. But I guess that charm existed in Clinton. Anyways, the show may have been a little fantasy. But it did bring up a lot of real world issues. And made you think. And have a view at times. Love the show soooooo much!

Comment by Stacey – November 6, 2012 06:54 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Agreed! No one can beat Bartlett, especially when he gets up on his soapbox and is on a role … even God doesn’t make it through Bartlett’s path unscathed …

Comment by Amy – November 6, 2012 02:41 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • No question – Jed Bartlet, hands down.

Comment by KSM – November 6, 2012 07:29 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Jed Bartlet, then Roslin! Bartlet is hands down the BEST though.

  • Laura Roslin!

Comment by MoxieSue – November 6, 2012 08:01 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Exactly. My personal favorite Laura Roslin moment is during the second half of the 4th season when Zarek and Gaeta lead a mutiny and Zarek tells Roslin that Adama is dead. She makes that speech about how she’ll come at them with everything she’s got right down to her eyeteeth. It’s such a great moment. you can feel her strength as a leader just radiating from her. LOVED IT!

Comment by Ari – November 6, 2012 10:50 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • “I’m coming for you!” Ha! Loved that moment. Love her!

Comment by Lp – November 6, 2012 08:56 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I’d go with Fitz and I am a card carrying democrat!! lol I’m for anyone who isnt too extreme and I don’t think he’d ever threaten Roe v. Wade :) (though not sure about that vice president)

Comment by crys – November 6, 2012 08:56 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • I just started watching Scandal this season and while I do like Fitz I don’t have a lot of confidence in him as a President. His wife and chief of staff circumvent him way too easily.

Comment by Mary – November 6, 2012 01:09 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I would seriously vote right now for Jed Bartlett for President! Laura Roslin can be VP…or Secretary of Ed!

Comment by Rachel – November 6, 2012 09:02 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I see Nathan finally made it into the white house

Comment by karl – November 6, 2012 09:03 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Is there an option for a Bartlet/Roslin ticket? He really could have used a quality VP.

Comment by Ace – November 6, 2012 09:05 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Laura Roslin all the way!

Comment by Lo – November 6, 2012 09:07 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Laura Roslin, please and thank you.

  • As much as I love this list, you should make a list of “13 Memorable TV First Ladies”.. they are sometimes just as important. With their manipulating ways and, at times, worthy contributions. :)

Comment by Amanda – November 6, 2012 09:31 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Ooh, yeah. No one messes with Abbey Bartlet. DOCTOR Abbey Bartelt.

  • Umm, I never watched 24, but how did it have a new president each season. That’s like 6 presidents over the course of 8 days, right??

Comment by VCI – November 6, 2012 09:35 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • It has been years since I watched it… but I believe between the Days/Seasons, some time has passed and they skip ahead different intervals.

Comment by Amanda – November 6, 2012 09:38 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • The show didn’t take place over 8 consecutive days you moron. Tyhe President was even a featured character in season one. David Palmewr was President during the second and third seasons and President Taylor was in office during season 7 and season 8.

Comment by Chad – November 6, 2012 11:04 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • And to get specific, the entire 24 series covered at least 15 years.

  • President Barlet – the person all politicians should aspire to be (minus the covering up of a disease, though better that than some other things!).

Comment by Thomas – November 6, 2012 09:46 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Jed Bartlett hands down. Oh how I wish he was running for Prime Minister of Canada. Our prime minister is Mr. Romney’s clone. Oy…

  • How could you forget Acting President Glenallen Walken and his little dog!? I loved John Goodman in that role even if it was for like 3 episodes

  • Good ‘ol Jed. If you remember, there was a satirical conversation Aaron Sorkin made between him and Obama a few years back. Enough said!

Comment by Khaatim Boyd – November 6, 2012 12:04 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Bartlett for America!

Comment by Marco – November 6, 2012 12:34 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • It’s Laura Roslin in a landslide, if she chooses not to serve and to go off with her soul mate, Bill Adama then it’s Jed Bartlett. You can’t go wrong in either case.

Comment by ljd213 – November 6, 2012 12:43 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Jed Bartlett, without a doubt. Bartlett for America!

Comment by Caroline – November 6, 2012 12:58 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Bobby McCallister 100% and I would have voted for Jack had he made it into politics. LOVED that show. Next best was Palmer and Roslin

  • “Do you know that when smallpox was eradicated, it was considered the single greatest humanitarian achievement of this century? Surely we can do it again, as we did in the times when our eyes looked towards the heavens and, with outstretched fingers, we touched the face of God. Here’s to absent friends and the ones that are here now.”
    Bartlet for America!
