Pilot Scoop: Jesse L. Martin Joins NBC's The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives

Law & Order vet and upcoming Smash guest star Jesse L. Martin has snagged one of the lead roles in NBC’s soapy drama pilot The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives, TVLine has confirmed.

Wives, which also stars Off the Map‘s Martin Henderson, Entourage‘s Perrey Reeves and Soul Food‘s Nicole Ari Parker, focuses on three suburban couples affected by a murder.

Martin will play Greg Cooke, a former hedge fund manager whose dire financial situation forces him into partnering with an unsavory business associate.
