Sons of Anarchy Roars Past Broadcast Rivals

FX’s Sons of Anarchy, with its fourth episode of Season, 5, scored a 2.88 demo rating this Tuesday night, easily beating its broadcast rivals (as well as topping all of cable).

Among the network offerings, CBS’ freshman drama Vegas scored a 2.0 rating with the 18-49 crowd (as it drew 12.1 million total viewers), while ABC’s Private Practice and NBC’s Parenthood each netted a 1.6.

Sons also bested ABC, CBS and NBC in the Men 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-34, Women 18-34 and Men 25-54 demos. Among Men 18-49, of which it drew 1.8 million, Sons placed second only to TV’s most watched drama series, NCIS (which this week had a total audience of 18.5 million).

The biker drama’s demo rating, as well as its total audience of 4.6 million viewers, represent its best tallies since the Season 5 opener (which drew 5.4 mil and a 3.3) and its third highest-rated outing ever.

Right on. Last night’s episode was amazing, even I sobbed through the last ten minutes or so.

Now if the show could only get recognized for the awards it so rightly deserves.

Last night’s SOA Episode Made Me Like Tara Again :D

lol last night was the first time that I realized I don’t like who Tara is becoming.

I agree!! Between this weeks and last weeks I finally have some respect for her cause she’s not bouncing back and forth on whether she’s with the club or not. Although I love Gemma I did get irritated watching her have Tara clean up her mess pretty much

I really enjoy this show. I thought the last few minutes were powerful. I teared up especially after noting that Jax saw the boys on the bikes in the beginning of the show and how it circled back to his photo of him and Opie at the end…
I don’t like Ashley Tisdale’s Character or the part she plays in this whole saga. She seems a little too, well let’s just say I would never have thought she would be the person they would have chosen for a guest appearance to play a traveling prostitute who is savvy and gritty enough to deal with working in brothels. She just seemed out of place.

I’m tiring of all the Tara/Gemma BS but I understand why it’s pivotal to the story telling. SOA is must see TV for me. I even did the summer marathon from S1 through the end of S4. Watching it all again from the beginning in such a short time, with no breaks, was awesome!

  5. Eliza says:

    I love Tara. Always have.
She has always had the “badass” in her. It’s especially coming out now because she’s fiercely protective of her family with all the crap going on. But I do not want her becoming another Gemma as much as I do not want Jax becoming another Clay.
