What to Watch Monday: A Stormy Castle, Partners Overshares, iHeartRadio Music Fest and More

On TV this Monday: It won’t be hard to forecast Beckett’s reaction when a journalist advances on Castle, an intimate reveal causes problems for some Partners, the Alphas reel after the death of one of their own and there’s a jam for just about everyone at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (always linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar tonight.

8 pm iHeartRadio Music Festival (The CW) | The genre-crossing concert – which took place in Las Vegas in September — featured performances from artists including Usher, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, Aerosmith, Lil Wayne, Enrique Iglesias, Brad Paisley and Pitbull. At least some of those will be shown during the two-hour broadcast, though maybe you won’t see Billie Joe’s expletive-laden-though-pretty-awesome rant.

8 pm Bones (Fox) | When Booth has to stay behind to work on his department’s budget, Sweets gets a temporary partner in FBI Special Agent Olivia Sparling (Shark‘s Danielle Panabaker). (Get more scoop on the episode.)

8 pm Alphas (Syfy) | Dani’s death at Parish’s hands leaves Rosen and the team in shock.

8 pm How I Met Your Mother (CBS) | Barney’s detailed pre-nup outrages Quinn and inspires the guys to propose their own relationship amendments to their significant others.

8:30 pm Partners (CBS) | Note to Joe: When you and Ali haven’t gotten it on in a while, maybe it’s best not to share info that with Louis. Just a tip.

9 pm Warehouse 13 (Syfy) | Midseason finale: The Warehouse’s battle against the unspeakable power that has steadily consumed Artie comes to a shocking, devastating conclusion.

9 pm Major Crimes (TNT) | Tao’s world is rocked when an eight-year-old murder conviction is overturned; Rusty has his first outing with his dad.

9 pm 2 Broke Girls (CBS) | Will Martha Stewart ever call? Max and Caroline keep the faith that the home-and-garden guru, who loved their cupcakes in last season’s finale, will support their fledgling business. Also, Caroline loses a lucky keepsake. (If it’s Chestnut: Seriously, girl – you’ve gotta keep that horse tied up!)

PREVIEW | Elizabeth Mitchell Talks Revolution‘s Revelation, Says ‘Things Aren’t What They Seem’

10 pm Hawaii Five-0 (CBS) | McGarrett asks Catherine for help in finding his mom; the team calls on August March (returning guest star Edward Asner) for assistance when an art heist turns deadly.

10 pm Castle (ABC) | On Beckett’s first day back from suspension, she and Castle investigate a weather forecaster’s death. Think it’ll be easy to keep their relationship on the QT with this hottie (played by Prison Break‘s Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) making Castle’s mercury rise?

  1. JJ says:

Revolution, 2 Broke Girls and Partners for me

    • Leo says:

Can’t wait for Gossip Girl to air. So excited (and sad!) for its final season! Meanwhile, Travel Porn aka Hawaii Five-O for me tonight.

  2. Esaul says:

Need to catch up on Revolution, watch the pilot for Partners. Definitely watching HIMYM tonight. And then there’s Castle (which I technically watch Thursdays) and Switched At Birth. Just your typical Monday for me. :D

  3. Olivia says:

After that AMAZING episode last week, Warehouse 13!!!

  4. adam says:

Castle, then Revolution, and finally Bones :)

  5. livvy says:

  6. Balaji K says:

    Hawaii Five-0

    I’m done with Revolution.

    • Esaul says:

Curious. What made you stop watching Revolution?

      • Dean says:

Pointless to ask. Personal tastes. Its an awesome show till now imo.

        • Esaul says:

Meh. I don’t find it pointless. Maybe there was something that happened in the show (s)he didn’t like. Or something didn’t go the way they expected. I always find it interesting. ^_^

          • HarryKam says:

All I saw was the pilot, and that was too much. I couldn’t stop pausing the TV to yell in rage every 30 seconds, during the first 10 minutes. I genuinely felt insulted by the assumption that viewers failed every middle school science class / don’t know how anything works. I expected so much more from Kripke, but at least now I’ve tempered my expectations of his future projects.

          • HarryKam says:

I’ll be watch Bones, Warehouse 13, and Castle. How I Met Your Mother, Alphas, and 2 Broke Girls get to be TiVoed for later.

          • Esaul says:

I like the premise of the show. It poses a great question. But for me a lot of the scenes felt either predictable/forced and the dialogue so-so. I’ve only seen the pilot myself. I have the second episode DVR’ed so I’ll probably watch that and the new one tonight.

Really wishing I kept up with 2 Broke Girls. For some reason I assumed it would’ve been cancelled so I stopped halfway through. :\

  7. Sarah says:

Mondays are so brutal for me this season!!

    The Inbetweeners
Maybe Alphas. This close to dropping the show!

    • GK says:

Done with Hawaii Five-O as well.

    • L says:

I couldn’t stand Alphas from the beginning. Didn’t like any of the characters. So over rated & and far as I’m concerned did not come close to living up to the Comic Con hype.

      • Dean says:

Hype was over the top, but I liked season 1. Problem is even now I don’t connect to the characters much and the show was so boring in the past few episodes. I probably will watch the rest of the episodes at a stretch after the season ends and decide if I should still be a fan.

  11. Matthew says:

  27. fiberlicious says:

Partners was the worst first episode of a series I’ve seen in a long time. It better improve fast (and for god’s sake make Mark quit chewing the scenery!) or it’s dead to me.

  28. Krithika says:

Castle, 2 broke girls and HIMYM make my Mondays….or technically it’s Tuesdays cos of time zone issues…

Castle for sure (and will DVR it). DVRing Hawaii 5-0. Will watch Revolution online if I like the second episode, which I haven’t watched yet. I hope when Smash comes back it’s on a night/time that has nothing else to watch!!

  36. meah says:

To all H50 fans, pls watch it live..we need our numbers…

    • nick1372 says:

Actually, you don’t. Hawai’i 5-0 is guaranteed another season get enough episodes to put its syndication deal into effect.

    • chistosa says:

Not being a Neilson family, whether I watch it live or DVR makes no difference to the official ratings.

  37. chistosa says:

Watching DWTS and Castle. DVRing Bones and Hawaii 5 O

  42. Britta Unfiltered says:

No time for Monday TV, there’s still so much from Sunday to get caught up on.

  43. Jennifer S says:

Gave Partners a second chance and was pleasantly suprised. Actually laughed out loud quite a bit this time around. Helped also with the background story on CBS News Sunday Morning Profile about the writers. The jokes were funny and that they made fun of Brandon Routh’s lack of expression. Mike and Molly was laugh so hard I couldn’t breathe funny too!!
