Scandal Exclusive: Everwood's Debra Mooney Lands Supreme Recurring Gig

Debra Mooney ScandalDebra Mooney has courted a plum recurring role on Scandal, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The former Everwood curmudgeon will play a Supreme Court Justice in multiple episodes of the ABC drama’s upcoming second season.

The gig brings Mooney a step closer to becoming a full-fledged member of Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes’ elite repertory company. The actress previously played the mother to Kevin McKidd’s Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy.

Mooney’s other recent credits include guest stints on The Mentalist, Weeds and Bones.

Scandal returns on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10/9c.
