Fall TV Preview

Good Wife Casts Christina Ricci as Shock Comic

Christina Ricci’s gone from flying the friendly skies to filing some legal briefs.

The former Pan Am stewardess will guest-star in The Good Wife’s forthcoming Season 4, CBS announced Wednesday evening via Twitter.

Ricci will play Sarah Silverman Therese, an outrageous comedienne who uses her beauty for comedic effect, TVLine has learned. The character is described as a “dry and matter-of-fact” woman who likes to shock people and joke around – even when she probably shouldn’t. As you may have guessed, the controversial funny lady will seek out Lockhart Gardner’s services.

The role is Ricci’s first TV part since starring as Maggie in ABC’s airline-themed drama, which was cancelled earlier this year.

  • When you have a show so high profiled like TGW, you’ll get so high profiled guest stars. And lets not forget how much of the guest stars on the show get a nomination in the Emmys.

  • Ok I’m actually excited about this guest star :D and it’s an “Addams Family Values” reunion (Baranski played a counselor at the summer camp Wednesday attended).
Wonder if Ricci’s character will be a plaintiff or defendant…
    “I’ll be the victim!”
    “…All your life.”

  • And not to mention carrie preston, matthew perry and denis o hare all seem likely to return for a episode or two. In all honesty i have been anticipating the return of TGW more than any other network/cable show this fall and the new guest stars will make this the best season yet. So im excited for its return, i hope christina appears in a few eps – loved her in pan-am and in general. she will shine on TGW.

  • This is so awesome I love her! I wonder if there’s any way they could ever make her some kind of recurring character? Like maybe she makes some jokes about Alicia and Peters relationship and she could be some kind of heavily involved in that. I love her. She needs to stay.
