What to Watch: 5 Web Series Worth Checking Out

Max GreenfieldThis week on the Internets, get your Max Greenfield fix before Season 2 of New Girl starts, Dr. Who offers up prequel fare, Pretty Little Liars gets into the web game and more!

Pond Life | This five-part web series follows the day-to-day wedded bliss of Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill). The series also features the Doctor (Matt Smith), and with good reason: It’s being billed as a prequel to the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

The Return of D Rose | NBA point guard for the Chicago Bulls, Derrick Rose (D Rose), narrates this documentary about his road to returning to the game after an injury.

Finding Susan Glenn | Written, directed and starring Emmy nominee Greenfield, the series follows “his” (the character is never given a name) renewed search for the girl of his dreams after getting dumped. Watch Greenfield be sweet, funny and goofy all while looking sharp — what’s not to love?

Pretty Dirty Secrets | Rosewood is getting ready for Halloween in this creepy web spawn of Pretty Little Liars. In addition to tiding fans over until the PLL Halloween special is broadcast on Oct. 23, the eight-part weekly series will also reveal a new character.

The Booth at the End | A mysterious man (Xander Berkeley) sits in the last booth at a diner as people of all ages approach him because they heard he possesses a certain problem-solving ability. The individuals are assigned inconceivable tasks by The Man that, if completed, will lead to their wish being granted. The engrossing second season of this sci-fi series began earlier this month.
