Exclusive: 24 Fave Annie Wersching Books Season-Opening Body of Proof Arc

Annie Wersching, who as 24‘s Renee Walker oft got Jack Bauer’s pulse racing, will be monitoring blood pressures, as a nurse, in a season-opening arc on ABC’s Body of Proof, TVLine has learned.

Wersching, though, surely isn’t “just” playing a garden-variety nurse, right? Perhaps she’s just a bit… naughty? A rep for the ABC procedural, which returns at midseason, was mum on details, but did confirm that the actress would be “front and center” as part of the top-secret double-episode storyline.

But wait, a two-parter right out of the gate…? As BoP lead Dana Delany, in previewing Season 3, told me, “ABC really liked our last couple [Season 2] episodes, because they had really high stakes, so right off the bat we’re back to that…. It’s going to be a little bit insane for a while!”

Since wrapping her run on 24 (sob), Wersching has guested on such series as CSI, NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles and Hawaii Five-0.

    • Totally agree. 24 shouldn’t have killed Renee Walker in the first place!

  • Annie Wersching should bring some balance of conflict, or credibility, to the show now that they cut three supporting characters completely instead of broadening the storyline out to include more.

  • She was incredibly annoying on 24. Maybe she will be tolerable on this show. I was hoping it would be on HBO or Showtime so she could show off her real talents.
