What to Watch Thursday: Anger Management Has a New Sheen, Hope Appears to Be Lost and More

On TV this Thursday: A big Bang milestone, Alex may be done Saving Hope, pop goes Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management, an Awkward dude goes rogue and more. As a supplement to TVLine’s fresh features (all linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm The Big Bang Theory (CBS) | In this rebroadcast of the series’ 100th episode, Leonard’s universe flirts with a hot new dense state when he offers Penny a spur-of-the-moment invitation to a romantic dinner.

8:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | Another Repeat to Revisit: As Leslie debates Bobby Newport on TV, Ron and Andy — but mostly Andy and his love for movies — labor to keep a party for donors hopping.

PREVIEW | Joe Jonas Talks TV’s Next Singing Contest, on The CW: ‘It’s Definitely a Shock Sometimes’

9 pm Saving Hope (NBC) | With Charlie removed from his ventilator, all he and Alex can do is wait and ask themselves: Is this the end? Or might another patient’s new symptoms lead Alex to make a discovery about Charlie’s coma? (I’m thinking the latter, since NBC went and brought it up.)

9 pm Burn Notice (USA Network) | Fiona winds up in over her head when the CIA recruits her to break into a guarded safe. Telenovela knockout Angelica Celaya guest-stars, in her first English-speaking role.

9:30 pm Anger Management (FX) | Charlie gets an unexpected visit from his hyper-critical, bullying father — played, of course, by Martin Sheen. (If FX pulls the trigger on that 90-episode renewal, the elder Sheen will come on board as a series regular.) Watch for Dad’s wink-wink impression of Brando à la Apocalypse Now.

PREVIEW | Exclusive Degrassi Video: Drew Pops the Question — But There’s a Twist!

10 pm Rookie Blue (ABC) | “A wedge is driven between Sam and Andy.” Now where I grew up, a “wedge” was another word for a hero or hoagie. Or a grinder. But I’m assuming that’s not what is meant here.

10 pm Extreme Chef (Food Network) | Season 2 of this series will drop seven fearless chefs into locations such as the scorching California desert, the exotic jungles of Thailand and the fryer room at Jack in the Box. OK, maybe not the last one; let’s not get crazy.

10 pm Shark Week’s 25 Best Bites (Discovery) | AKA a countdown of “the breaches and bites that have captivated audiences for all these years and kept them coming back for more.” Sadists, every one of ya.

10:30 pm Awkward (MTV) | Jake goes rogue after learning about Jenna and Matty’s past.

10:45 pm Strike Back (Cinemax) | Before Season 2 “strikes” this Friday night, look “back” at the series’ freshman finale.
