Pilot Scoop: Jericho's Lennie James Joins AMC Drama Pilot Low Winter Sun

Get More: Pilots

Jericho alum Lennie James, who memorably played a fellow survivor of Rick’s in the Walking Dead pilot, is returning to the AMC fold in the network’s drama pilot Low Winter Sun.

The project, based on the 2006 UK miniseries of the same name, is being billed as a contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption that starts with the murder of a cop at the hands of fellow Detroit detective Frank Agnew (Mark Strong, who starred in the British version). Seemingly the perfect crime, in reality the murder activates forces that will forever alter that detective’s life and pull him into the heart of the Detroit underworld.

The cast also includes Ruben Santiago, Athena Karkanis and James Ransone.

James’ history with AMC also extends to the 2009 miniseries The Prisoner.

  • He needs to return on The Walking Dead :) But Good For Him. Still hate that The Killing was cancelled.

  • Love Lennie James and I would see him in anything. I also agree with adambramble, he needs to return to Atlanta and Rick.

  • He will reappear on The Walking Dead at some point I imagine. Maybe even this season. I can’t remember the comics entirely but he does reappear for a short while around the time of the Governor.
