New Girl Exclusive: Parker Posey Set to Replace Leslie Mann as Schmidt's Penis Party Girl

Fox’s New Girl has tapped Parker Posey to guest star in the show’s Season 2 premiere on Sept. 25, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The indie goddess, who garnered raves for her recent arc as Louis C.K.’s unhinged love interest on FX’s Louie, will play a “shot girl” at a party to celebrate the removal of Schmidt’s penis cast.

Leslie Mann was originally cast in the role, but the Knocked Up actress had to back out due to a scheduling conflict.

The gig marks a return to Fox for Posey, who headlined the network’s short-lived 2008 sitcom The Return of Jezebel James.

      Parker Posey is just guest starring in an episode or two, and by no means is meant to replace Cee Cee in the show. the article is just explaining that the guest star role was originally going to an actress named Leslie Mann, but went to Parker Posey instead.

    • I know, right?! When I saw all the commercials for “Our Idiot Brother” I thought it was Parker Posey. Then I saw the movie and realized it was Elizabeth Banks with brown hair. Those two need to play sisters, stat.
