Traffic Light alum Nelson Franklin has been cast in the quirky Fox comedy’s second season (bowing Sept. 25) as the model’s new boyfriend, TVGuide.com reports.
The funnyman’s character, Robby, is described as a nice guy — albeit a half-deaf one — who is a shockingly bad dancer.

• Jay Hernandez (Six Degrees) has booked an eight-episode arc on ABC’s new fall drama Last Resort, EW.com reports. He’ll play a man involved with Scott Speedman’s character’s estranged wife (played by Jessy Schram).
• Real-life sports mogul Mark Cuban will guest-star in an episode of Necessary Roughness next year, EW.com reports, playing a potential owner of the New York Hawks.
• Nick at Nite has given a 20-episode series order to Wendell And Vinnie, a family comedy starring Jerry Trainor (iCarly) and Nicole Sullivan (MADtv), Deadline reports.
