Exclusive: Private Practice Alum Wes Brown Lands Infamous Gig at NBC

Wes Brown InfamousNBC’s midseason drama Infamous has found its new cad.

Wes Brown, whose credits include meaty arcs on Private Practice, True Blood and Hart of Dixie, has been tapped to replace English actor Neil Jackson (Make It Or Break It) in the role of womanizing bad boy Julian, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Infamous is described as an opulent soap in which a female detective (played by Meaghan Good) returns undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in – as the maid’s daughter – to solve the murder of the notorious heiress who was once her closest friend. Brown’s character is the brother of the deceased.

The cast also includes Alias vet Victor Garber, Two and a Half Men‘s Marin Hinkle, Big Love‘s Katherine LaNasa and Breakout Kings‘ Laz Alonso.

It’s unclear what impact this new gig will have on Brown’s upcoming recurring role as Adrianna’s love interest on 90210.

  1. Craig says:

He played the gay closeted soldier in pilot of Scandal

  2. Sam says:

This is obviously riding on Revenge’s coat tails, but as long as it’s fun and soapy, I don’t mind! The vampire craze gave us True Blood and The Vampire Diaries, right? Maybe the renewed interest in prime time soaps will give us good stuff too!

  3. Anon says:

No “h” in Meagan Good’s first name.

  4. April says:

Don’t forget Scandal and the Love Comes Softly prequels on Hallmark channel!

  5. April says:

Maybe not, but those are the only 2 things that I, personally, know him from. So those were the first things that came to my mind.

Much like it has already been said, this was clearly done after the unexpected success of Revenge. As long as it doesn’t take itself seriously, its fun and soapy, I really don’t mind. I’m actually looking forward to this one.

I’m glad to see Wes join the series, otherwise I would not watch it.
