TVLine Items: TLC Bets on Pete Rose, Weeds Casting News, Ricki Lake Preview and More!

TLC Pete RoseBatter up! TLC has ordered five episodes of a new docu-series revolving around Pete Rose, the polarizing baseball great.

The yet-to-be-titled series will follow Rose, his fiancée Kiana Kim and their attempt to blend their families together. The show will also chronicle the Cincinnati Reds star and onetime manager’s struggle with the controversial 1980s gambling scandal that has kept him out of the Hall of Fame and the sport he loves for over 20 years — an issue that he considers appealing again with the commissioner during the TLC project.

The Rose series is set to debut later this year.

    Nice dye job there Pete.

  2. EatMorePez says:

Well this is just pathetic. Hopefully Rose’s reality show will bomb just as badly as David Hasselhoff’s and Bristol Palin’s.

He deserves to be I the Hall. I bet they do it after he dies.

  4. Mark says:

Boo. I was not impressed by Watts and was hoping so hard that she wasn’t going to be a love interest on Weeds. Damn.

  5. David says:

I’m confused. Ricki has been saying she wants to emulate the old Oprah show, but this promo makes it seem it will be produced exclusively for women. Vintage Oprah was for all viewers.
