What to Watch: Big Brother Is Back, L Word Goes Bi, Rock Center Scrutinizes Scientology and More

On TV this Thursday: Just like heat waves and getting sand in your Speedo, summer perennial Big Brother is back; Rock Center offers context for Tom and Katie’s split; Saving Hope makes a love connection; and The Choice season finale tries to find Superman a new Lois. Here are 10 programs to take notice of tonight.

8 pm Tron: Uprising (Disney XD) | Beck defies Tron’s orders to destroy a secret weapon, and The Occupation takes programs captive.

9 pm Big Brother (CBS) | A new motley crew — including four “mystery” alumni — arrives at the glass house for Season 14 of the all-access reality show. Check ‘em out here:
9 pm The Choice (Fox) | In the season finale, model Tyson Beckford and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’s Dean Cain look for a career boost love.

9 pm Saving Hope (NBC) | A psychic hypnotist uses his ability to connect Alex and Charlie. The only downside? He also makes them cluck like chickens and think that they’re naked.

9 pm Burn Notice (USA Network) | A manhunt in the Everglades goes bad when Sam gets kidnapped — will Michael and Jesse be able to save him? Behind bars, a prospective ally asks Fiona for a dangerous favor. Kristanna Loken (The L Word) returns as Anson’s cohort Rebecca.

10 pm Rock Center With Brian Williams (NBC) | On the heels of TomKat’s confidential divorce settlement, NBC News correspondent Kate Snow sits down with two former Scientologists to discuss what happens when someone inside the secretive church tries to break free.

10 pm Rookie Blue (ABC) | Oliver’s daughter, Izzy, witnesses someone stabbing a homeless squatter — and then goes missing herself. Good thing dad’s got a police force at his disposal!

10 pm POV (PBS) | The documentary series’ latest installment, “Guilty Pleasures,” takes a look at the romance-novel phenomenon from the perspective of fans and people in the biz (including a Fabio-esque cover model). Yeah, we know – you’re too intellectual to be interested in things like this. And that’s definitely not your copy of Fifty Shades of Grey buried in your handbag.

10 pm The Real L Word (Showtime) | Season 3 of this unscripted drama about lady-loving ladies promises a bi-coastal narrative that pits “L.A. glam versus Brooklyn cool.”

10:30 pm Louie (FX) | Bienvenido a Miami, Louie.

  20. Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.
I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
