Exclusive: Six Feet Under Vet Lili Taylor Joins Netflix Thriller Series Hemlock Grove

Six Feet Under alum Lili Taylor will play a Gypsy mother in Netflix’s upcoming original series Hemlock Grove, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Exec-produced by horror-movie master Eli Roth and Gaumont International TV, Hemlock is a murder mystery/class warfare tale. When a young girl is killed, both a Gypsy teen (Terra Nova’s Landon Liboiron) and a spoiled young man (Bill Skarsgard, brother of True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgard) are suspects in her death.

Taylor will recur as Liboiron’s mother, whose way of life is anathema to the rich teen’s mom, played by Famke Janssen (Nip/Tuck). In addition, Desperate Housewives’ Dougray Scott will play Janssen’s character’s brother-in-law, and Australian actresses Freya Tingley and Penelope Mitchell will portray a self-described novelist and the rich teen’s cousin, respectively.

In addition to Hemlock, subscription site Netflix has plans to offer new episodes of the cult comedy Arrested Development; House of Cards, a Kevin Spacey-led adaptation of a British miniseries; and Orange Is the New Black, a women’s-prison comedy helmed by Weeds creator Jenji Kohan.
