Michael Westen may be about to meet his match.

TVLine has learned exclusively that CSI alum José Zúñiga will appear as a vicious cocaine smuggler in this season of USA Network’s Burn Notice.

His character, Vasquez, is a “clever and sadistic” —not to mention successful — Panamanian drug lord who isn’t shy about using torture to locate a missing cocaine shipment.

Zúñiga — who most recently appeared in episodes of Desperate Housewives, Harry’s Law and Scandal, and also recurred on NBC’s short-lived The Event — will show up in Episode 11 of Burn Notice‘s sixth season.

  • I recognize the actor, he’s been around for a while, but calling him a CSI “alum” is a stretch.

  • Technically, Westen has already met his match in the twisted shrink, Anson Fullerton. Fullerton is so bad that guys like Vasquez would (a) work for him and (b) be afraid of him.

    Just sayin’…

  • Well, I want to comment, somewhere, they had better not kill off Nate! His whining is so funny. Everyone else is a whiz at spy and adjustment, so he brings a touch of everyman. KEEP NATE!
