What to Watch Monday: The Glass House Opens Its Doors, Drag U Is Back in Session and More

On TV this Monday: A new Pair of Kings kicks off a regal evening that continues with RuPaul’s classroom of queens. HBO rolls out a Dog-gedly determined new doc, and those who live in ABC’s controversial Glass House check their stones — and their last shreds of privacy — at the door. Here are 10 programs you may enjoy.

8 pm Antiques Roadshow (PBS) | For the first time in its 16-year history, the PBS mainstay revisits items appraised in a previous episode to see whether their value has changed over time. In related news, your Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox still isn’t worth as much as you’d like it to be.

8 pm The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family) | After running off to get married, Amy and Ricky face anxious family members at home. Think of it this way, ‘rents: You’re not losing a child, you’re gaining the relief of not having to pay for a wedding!

8:30 pm Pair of Kings (Disney XD) | In Part 1 of the Season 3 premiere, a storm forces Boomer to stay behind after Brady leaves the island for good. But the tempest also tosses Boomer’s long-lost triplet, Boz (played by Zeke and Luther’s Adam Hicks), into the mix. Huge’s Hayley Hasselhoff, Jessie’s Karan Brar and WWE wrestler Mike “The Miz” Mizanin guest-star.

9 pm RuPaul’s Drag U (Logo) | The Season 3 premiere of the RuPaul’s Drag Race spin-off continues doing the Lord’s work by having drag queens teach style-challenged women how to work it. Amen.

9 pm One Nation Under Dog (HBO) | Pooch lovers will want to tune in for this documentary, but be warned: It’s no fluffy, feel-good affair. Among other topics, Dog examines the plight of unwanted shelter pups.

9 pm Bunheads (ABC Family) | From the network: “An unexpected occurrence puts Michelle at odds with her new mother-in-law; Fanny’s students prove to be an inspiration.” One: If the “unexpected occurrence” refers to the event at the end of the first episode, that’s quite an understatement. Two: What’s with the skimpy synopses, ABC Family? Taking lessons from Mad Men?

9 pm Eureka (Syfy) | Getting dosed with a smart drug causes Carter’s genius to careen out of control. But I’m sure it’ll be OK; after all, things turned out great for Charlie and Algernon, right?

9 pm Top Gear (BBC America) | Jeremy enjoys the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Richard reminisces about Rover’s classic P5. And in a creative alternative to traditional campaigning, a group of politicians race to decide a General Election.

10 pm The Glass House (ABC) | After enduring weeks of litigation in which CBS claimed this new series is a bit too much like Big Brother, ABC opens the doors to its Glass House, in which 14 players live and compete for a quarter million dollars in a hi-tech home that allows viewers to see pretty much everything — and to have a hand in each week’s elimination. Does CBS’ claim hold water? Watch and judge for yourself.

10 pm Teen Wolf (MTV) | The new shape-shifter continues its gory work.

  • THE GLASS HOUSE is only on once a week? That’s a big difference from BIG BROTHER, for starters.

  • If that new shapeshifter DOESN’T turn out to be lydia, i’ll be shocked.

    • me, too. I mean, I guess it could also be Jackson, but it has to be Lydia, right?

      • I was thinking it might be the jerk teacher or the kid who loaned Jackson the camera.

It’d be a great twist if it is Grandpa Argent.

      • Its not Jackson, he filmed hiimself sleeping that night when the shapeshifter first appeared eleminating him. And this Lydia is to obvious choice.

  • Glass House may be similar to Big Brother, but if every “similar show” was enjoined from broadcast, TV would go black for about 95% of its schedule.

    • I agree – Big Brother wasn’t the first to come up with the idea of installing cameras in a house! I the the Real World was around before Big Brother.

    • I agree. What’s really the difference between American Idol, X Factor and The Voice? Or Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance?

      • The singing shows, all pretty similar, but there is a HUGE difference between Dancing With the Stars and SYTYCD!! SYTYCD only has people of skill, with intricate choreography and an array of genres. DWtS is more the novelty of celebrities learning to move a bit.

  • Watching TSLOTAT, Bunheads, Single Ladies and Teen Wolf. Good Monday night.

My only thing about Bunheads is I did not like that the situation with Hubble happened in the first episode. Way too early in my opinion

  • Bunheads for me tonight. But Hubble’s dead was totally unnecessary, I was really looking forward to their relationship!
