First Look: Breaking Bad's Season 5 Poster Heralds Arrival of New King

There’s a new sheriff in town.

AMC has unveiled the official key art for the first half of Breaking Bad‘s fifth and final season and, not surprisingly, it plays up Walt’s (Bryan Cranston) ascension to full-fledged drug kingpin.

“No longer under the thumb of a mastermind criminal, Walt now assumes the role of one himself, as he and Jesse (Aaron Paul) look to build their own empire,” reads the official Season 5 logline. “Meanwhile, Skyler (Anna Gunn) struggles with the reality of her husband’s new role and Hank (Dean Norris) works to wrap up his investigation of Gus’ business.”

Breaking Bad‘s swan song season, to be split up into two eight-episode chunks, will kick off on July 15 at 10/9c.

  15. walt whitman says:

lol yes it is a good series but some of you people going on about this being the best show ever is pretty sad. yous must be really young and have not had to much tv experience, there are many more and have been many more shows that are of better quality , writing, acting and so forth. but yes i am looking forward to the 5th season, however the last 3-4 episodes of season 4 really began to get a little more over the top with the writing and storyline, its unfortunate but thats what happens when you just try to appease the fans and forget about what made the show interesting in the first place.

that guys just a douche you try to act smart by coming up with a long explanation of what?? B.S. im sure Breaking Bad is awesome the acting is great and so is the writing you can definitly tell the “not so popular” actors have done nothing but improve over the past few u seasons there is no room for haters here bro stfu

  18. MisterPistol says:

The amount of BlueIce boxed up behind King Hiesenberg has a street value of… get this: just under 50 million. Add the Million stack bricks (@least 11) beside Him…safe to say Walt’s in this for a bit more than Chemo/med bills, household utilities & typical Familial incidentals. HE’s a power hungry, adrenaline JUNKY…& most definately an inspiration to Us all!

  19. I’m extremely inspired with your writing abilities as smartly as with the structure for your blog. Is that this a paid subject matter or did you customize it yourself? Anyway stay up the excellent high quality writing, it’s uncommon to look a great weblog like this one today..
