    About time!

  3. Emma says:

YAYYYYYYY!!!! It’s only 13 episodes, but at least there will be another season. Graduation here we come! oh, wait they got expelled…

  4. pilo says:

is it a full season or a shortend one like 30rock ?

  5. jessica says:

    6 seasons and a movie!!!

    • Rock Golf says:

      Settle for 3.5 seasons and a two-reeler?

      • Four seasons and a direct to DVD movie. The plot can be their 25th community college reunion-slash-Pierce’s funeral.

        • Angela says:

Hahaha, I love that idea. I’d watch that.
So I’ll just go ahead and say “YAY!” at this news. Shame it’s only 13 episodes as of now, but hopefully it’ll do well enough to get the remaining number for a proper season. And if not, well, here’s to 13 awesome episodes, then. I’m glad to hear it’s coming back at all, at least-now I have something to look forward to next season.

  6. Ashley says:

Do we know how many episodes NBC has ordered yet?

  7. Darth Pablo says:

  8. Emily says:

is it for 22 eps or 13???

  9. Tom says:

    Cool cool cool

  10. Jerry says:

Why 13 though? They need 17 to get to 88 episodes!

  11. amy says:

Bittersweet. But I’ll take 13 episodes over none at all.

  12. Vera says:

  13. Rob says:

Thank you NBC for not Britta’ing this! This show is the most Enterchanging thing on TV.

  14. Ju says:

Great news (hey, 13 eps is better than none, same for 30 Rock), but how about Parks???

  15. bad kevin says:

So happy for bringing NBC the good news all week long. #sixseasonsandamovie

  16. TigerNightmare says:

Cool, cool. Cool cool cool cool cool.

  17. Patrick says:

THIRTEEN? It needs seventeen for syndication!

    • rowan77 says:

It doesn’t NEED 17 for syndication, it’s just easier to sell multiple seasons if they are full. 100 episodes is the ideal for syndication. Community will end up in syndication regardless.

    • chelle says:

It’s already been sold into syndication

  18. Sierra says:

  19. Steph says:

Now what about Parks and Rec? I swear, if they don’t renew it I’m never watching NBC again!

  20. austen says:

  21. Ju says:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaalso, what about Up all night?

  22. K says:

Happy it’s returning but I want more than 13. Hopefully it gets a full season pick up sometime.

  23. therandomfiles says:

best news i’ve heard all year.

  24. kavyn says:

YES! Please give it the FULL season it deserves NBC!

  25. back 9, Back 9, BACK 9, BACK NINE

  26. wi says:

When their new comedies flop, they will pick up more episodes

  27. aleksa says:

    Streets ahead!

  28. TheDude says:

    COOL COOL COOL cool cool
Anyway this pickup has potential for a back 9? I sure as hell hope so.

  29. brandy says:

What’s up with the short seasons, NBC?!

    • wi says:

they (NBC) are like a blind chicken bobbing the ground trying to find stray crumbs… instead of going to the chicken house and laying as many of those gold eggs they have (P&R, Community)

  30. KND says:

This made my day! Best News EVER!!!!

  31. Brendan says:

NBC has done back 9 pickups before when a show has been doing well, I will be holding out hope for a full 22. Even a back 6 pickup like Chuck got in season 3 would be fine. Also glad it wasn’t announced as the final season, a fifth is still on the table.

  32. anik says:

Cool. Cool cool cool. Great news plus a great episode tonight

  33. Glad it was renewed! Hopefully they’ll pick up some more episodes in the fall, but either way, I’m glad the show will be back next season! :D

  34. lois says:

I don’t even watch this show but I’m happy for the fans!! Yay!

  35. jenna says:

    congrats community fans :)

  36. Mari says:

Oh God, today is happy day! All of my shows are being renewed. Community, Castle, Revenge, Modern Family, Once, Cougar Town…

  37. i love community and joel mchale! says:

let me start by saying community is the best show that ever existed. and also i heard that rainn wilson said on some talk show that the office is renewed 2

  38. Natalie says:

Well, this has got to make some people happy. Nice to have some pick up news after last night’s cancellation news from Fox.

  39. Amy says:

We’ll take what we can get, though I don’t like the idea of what Thursday night is going to look like with a shorten season of Community, 30 Rock and most likely Parks & Rec. That makes me sad, so I am just going to think about the renewal. Yay!

  40. theresa says:

    Yes!!!! More study group craziness.

  41. lilly says:

YAAAAAAY, but I really hope the decide to do a full season instead of just 13 episodes, and then maybe renew it again and again? #sixseasonsandamovie

  42. Lindsey says:

Just read an article on Vanity Fair that NBC is planning for shortened seasons of Community, 30 Rock, and Parks and Rec, and it will be announced next week that it’ll be the last season for all three. I hope it’s not true for Parks and Rec. I wish they could get rid of The Office (will anyone watch if Jim, Dwight, Andy, and Kelly really do leave?) and keep the other three. I don’t mind as much if 30 Rock gets cancelled since it’s had a pretty good run.

  43. Alicia says:

  44. Britta Unfiltered says:

Since the show is only getting a 13-episode order, I kind of wished they had jumped ship over to TBS like Cougar Town did. TBS would be a network that would treat them with respect. NBC likes to take dumps on their highest quality shows. If the 13-order episode happens with Parks and Rec too, then I am really perplexed with what NBC comedies are going to be on for a full season. At this point it’s just looking like The Office? A show that is losing a majority of their cast is getting a full season pickup over Community and Parks and Rec? So bizarre. Really, I can’t think what other comedies they have that could be getting a full season. Next year on NBC is going to be weird. I picture lots of time slot shuffling going on all year long.
I was just looking at NBC’s homepage, and they have moved Up All Night and Whitney over from their “Current Shows” category to the “Recent Favorites” category with all the rest of their canceled shows. That seems pretty bad for Up All Night. Though I am a little confused why recently renewed Parenthood is in the Recent Favorites category and not the Current Shows category. I thought at first it was just because Parenthood is on hiatus, but if they put all their shows that were on break into the Recent Favorites category, then nothing would remain in the Current Shows category in a few weeks when summer reruns hit.

  45. Sarabi says:

I’m happy about this renewal but I’m not extatic about the 13 episodes part… Let’s hope they also get a back 9 order!

  46. Polly says:

    better than nothing! #sixseasonsandamovie!

  47. Matt says:

    Pop pop!!

  48. Lily says:

This is the dumbest show next to modern family! Hopefully this is the last season!
