The series stars Anthony Anderson (Law & Order), Jesse Bradford (The West Wing) and Zach Cregger (Friends With Benefits) as three 30-something guys who enjoy the adventures of parenting despite the fact they haven’t grown up themselves. Rounding out the ensemble are Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos), Sara Rue (Rules of Engagement) and Tempestt Bledsoe (The Cosby Show).

That brings to nine the number of new shows NBC has already ordered for fall, joining previously greenlit comedies Save Me (starring Anne Heche), Go On (starring Matthew Perry), Animal Practice (starring Justin Kirk), The New Normal, and 1600 Penn, as well as serial thriller Revolution from J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke, Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal and Dick Wolf’s Chicago Fire.

NBC will formally unveil its fall schedule to advertisers next Monday.

  1. Maj says:

Isn’t there a movie coming out with this exact same concept?

  2. bad kevin says:

NBC continues to pick up more new comedies this week. The network still needs to pick up County really, really bad or we riot.

  3. Jake says:

UGH Parks and Recreation, Community, Up All Night and Parenthood better get picked up.

  4. mandy says:

Apparently they are going to wait until the last minute to pick up Parenthood? This is getting ridiculous! I swear if they do not pick up Parenthood I will not watch any of the new shows. (even though a few sound pretty good.)

    • Ben says:

What a silly reason not to enjoy things you might enjoy. Although I agree that they better pick up Parenthood. But I think the chances are high. We haven’t actually ‘officially’ heard about their comedy block either, but that doesn’t mean they are nto being renewed.

  5. John K. says:

So NBC has five new single-camera comedies, plus five potential returning ones in Community, Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec and Up All Night. So why in the name of all that is holy would they pick up a multi-camera sitcom? It’s like when CBS idiotically tried to do sci-fi with Moonlight.

  6. Kasper F. Nielsen says:

I love Anthony Anderson, so I will definitely give this a shot. The man’s hilarious.

  7. liddad says:

This seems like a pretty full schedule for NBC. Are they taking a leaf out of cable TV’s books and just ordering a lot of shorter seasons?
I would usually love that idea for Network TV (if Community didn’t get the same treatment).
If anything, I think it might give their new shows more of a chance. More character development in a shorter time. Sounds good to me.
They’re either doing that or cancelling a lot of shows. Let’s hope for the former.

  8. Mark says:

Omg with the exception of Jesse Bradford (Who I’ve not seen in anything before) I literally love everyone involved in this show.
Sara Rue in Less Than Perfect = <3
Tempestt Bledsoe from the Cosby Show. Omg Yes!
The guy from Friends with Benefits was very talented.
Anthony Anderson in literally anything! Specifically Transformers he was great in.
And Jamie has some great comedic chops.

    Great news!

  9. darcyewilson says:

This could be good, if it’s funny. Honestly, I still see Save Me and Animal Practice failing, badly. They are the Free Agents and BFF of this season!!

  10. davidsask says:

Isn’t Sara Rue also in ABC’s new Malibu show with Reba?
