On TV this Wednesday: Whitney and Chelsea wrap their freshman runs with a series of unfortunate events, Psych battles an autopsy-turvy issue, Hot In Cleveland hosts reunions galore and more. In addition to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are eight programs to keep on your radar.
8 pm One Tree Hill (The CW) | In the series’ penultimate episode, as Haley prepares to emcee the Tree Hill Burning Boat Festival, Brooke uses the opportunity to process her father’s betrayal while Julian tries to breathe new life into an old idea.
8 pm Whitney (NBC) | Season 1 finale: An expired license sparks a chain of unusual events, interfering with Whitney and Alex’s wedding plans. Will Whitney’s dad (returning guest star Peter Gallagher) come to the rescue?
8:30 pm Are You There, Chelsea? (NBC) | Season 1 finale: After throwing a trashy birthday party for her sister, Chelsea must scramble to clean up Sloane before her husband (Boston Legal‘s Mark Valley) returns early from Afghanistan.
9 pm Bent (NBC) | This week’s back-to-back episodes find Pete spotting Ben with another woman, Walt and Screwsie helping Charlie battle a bully, a wedding at Alex’s boss’ home — with Ben in tow — and more.
10 pm Psych (USA) | After a mortician brings Woody’s autopsy mistakes to light, Shawn and Gus try to figure out the real cause of death and save Woody’s job. Raising Hope‘s Kate Micucci and 3rd Rock from the Sun‘s French Stewart guest-star.
10 pm Whitechapel (BBC America) | In Part 1 of the Season 3 premiere, DI Chandler and DS Miles investigate a slaughter of four people that appears to echo a series of murders from 200 years ago.
10 pm South Park (Comedy Central) | Help us decipher this vague synopsis: “As mankind’s evolution begins to accelerate at a rapid and disturbing pace, another species on the planet is exhibiting the same drastic development. Eventually the two species will battle to the death and ‘Faith Hilling’ may be humanity’s only hope.” Anyone? Bueller?
10 pm Hot In Cleveland (TV Land) | Joy dates a guy she thinks is her teen crush Rick Springfield (guest-starring as himself); Victoria wants to fire the cleaning-averse cleaning lady (Cheers‘ Rhea Perlman). Also, Betty White and Georgia Engel reunite on the small screen 40 years after The Mary Tyler Moore Show, while Valerie Bertinelli’s Sydney co-star Craig Bierko also guest-stars.
