The TVLine-Up: 5 Web Series Worth Watching

Jon Hamm 7 Minutes in Heaven Mike O'BrienThis week, Angela Kinsey talks dirty, Jon Hamm puts the moves on Mike O’Brien, and Penny and Alex deliver LOLs in the latest Happy Endings webisode.

First Dates with Toby Harris | Funny or Die scribe Seth Morris stars in this new series, written by Elliot Dickerhoof, Ryan Perez, Ally Hord and Anna Wenger, about the awkward things than can happen on first dates. Office worker Kinsey brilliantly guests in the latest episode as Toby’s verbally and sexually aggressive date. Somewhere, Angela Martin is blushing.

Squaresville | Another Kickstarter success story, this show was created by film maker Matt Enlow. In the first episode, we meet high school culture jammers Esther and Zelda who ditch a dance to perform guerilla gardening and other types of “adventuring.” The first six minutes of this series exudes such a hopeful tone that we can’t wait to see more.

I Hate Being Single | Created by NYC UCB-er Rob Michael Hugel, this is our new favorite web series. No set-up necessary, the title (and Hugel’s credentials) explains the premise perfectly. Open up a new browser tab and watch it right now. Are you watching it yet? How about now? What are you waiting for?!

Happy Rides | “Did you know they weren’t actually aliens? They were cartoons. He got to play basketball with real cartoons.” That’s Alex discussing Michael Jordan’s turn in Space Jam via a 1998 flashback. (Cant. Get. Enough. Happy. Endings.)

7 Minutes in Heaven with Mike O’Brien | Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm is attacked by a tickle spider. Need we say more?
