Jason GeorgeABC’s update of the British series Mistresses has found a husband and a lover for the recently cast Alyssa Milano.

The drama, which was ordered straight to series for a summer 2013 launch, has added Jason George (Grey’s Anatomy) and Aussie Brett Tucker (Spartacus: Vengeance) to its soapy ranks, our sister site Deadline reports.

Mistresses follows four women as they balance their turbulent romantic and personal lives. Tucker — soon to be seen on the network’s Castle — will play the loving husband of Milano’s lawyer character, Sarah. Despite being married, Sarah eventually has an affair with her handsome co-worker (played by George, pictured).

The cast also includes Yunjin Kim (Lost), Rochelle Aytes (Work It) and newcomer Jes Macallan as the other three ladies.

  • Not a huge fan of Jason George. He’s kinda been meh in everything he’s been in. Eli Stone, meh. Grey’s, meh-er. What About Brian, Off The Map, Eastwick, meh, meh, meh.

Maybe this role will do more for him, but I’m not holding my breath.

    • Couldn’t agree more. He has no charisma on screen at all. I don’t understand why they keep casting him!

    • Yeah I haven’t liked him in much of anything after he was in the tv show Eve and I watched all the shows you mentioned but Eastwick… Hopefully this will work for him.

  • So will he be off Grey’s then? What about Bailey?

    • I think where he’s only recurring that he could do both.. I’m thinking they probably shoot at different times, and I doubt he’ll be taking up alot of screen time on this new show anyway.
You also have to remember that Bailey may be gone.. Wilson is negotiating her contract right now.

  • Why ABC has ordered series to summer 2013? Does it mean that it will premiere like june 2013 or what and if it gets good ratings it will get season 2 which will launch in fall 2013?

  • Yeah, and then when this show gets canceled, he’ll just make his way back to Grey’s Anatomy..again. Just kill him off Grey’s Anatomy. I’m sick of him leaving and coming back so he can do other shows.
