Dakota, a musical romance based on the Israeli format Danny Hollywood, features Amber Stevens (Greek) as Maya, a filmmaker making a documentary about rock star Joey Dakota (Legend of the Seeker‘s Craig Horner), who died in the 1990s. Maya miraculously travels back in time and falls in love with the musician only to be thrown back to the present day. She then struggles to find a way back to her love and to prevent his death.
Wolf — who starred on V, Everwood and Party of Five — provides a possible solution to Maya’s problem as a mysterious man who seems to know a lot about her situation and may have even done some time traveling himself.

• Scott Bakula (Chuck, Men of a Certain Age) has nabbed the lead role in the NBC comedy Table for Three (formerly Daddy’s Girls), playing a dentist who gets engaged to a much younger woman (played by Nicky Whelan), who also happens to be the high school “mean girl” classmate of his daughter (Christine Woods).
• NYPD Blue alum Rick Schroder has been cast in Fox’s untitled Karyn Usher drama about an orphaned 14-year-old daughter of a CIA operative, played by Schroder.
• Hamish Linklater (The New Adventures of Old Christine) is in final negotiations to play the handler of Ali Larter’s CIA field operative in the Fox drama The Asset.
• Zak Orth (Nurse Jackie) has joined NBC’s J.J. Abrams/Eric Kripke drama Revolution as a brilliant scientist left in in a world where physics no longer follows the same rules.
