Also among the latest pilot castings are a Terra Nova tough girl, a Glee mom and a Once Upon a Time princess.
Moss’ CBS pilot is set in the 1960s and based on the true story of Ralph Lamb, a rodeo cowboy-turned-Las Vegas sheriff (to be played by Quaid), and a Chicago mob fixer (Chiklis) whose vision for transforming Sin City doesn’t line up with Lamb’s. Moss — who recurred on the final season of Chuck — will play a rancher’s daughter who works as an ADA.
Nicholas Pileggi (Goodfellas) and Greg Walker (The Defenders) penned the script, and James Mangold (Walk the Line) is set to direct.
In other pilot news from our sister site Deadline:
• Christine Adams is moving on from the recently axed Terra Nova to a role in ABC’s fashion-set family soap Americana, playing the wife of the iconic fashion designer at the center of the story (Anthony LaPaglia). David Alpay (The Borgias) will play LaPaglia’s son, who’s been promoted to co-president of the label.
• Romy Rosemont (Glee) and Mary Birdsong (Reno 911!) have joined Roseanne Barr’s NBC comedy pilot Downwardly Mobile, which centers around a mobile home park.
• Jessy Schram (Falling Skies, Once Upon a Time) has been cast as Scott Speedman’s wife in Shawn Ryan’s ABC drama pilot Last Resort.
• Jesse Bradford (Outlaw) will co-star alongside Anthony Anderson in Jimmy Fallon’s untitled NBC comedy pilot about three thirtysomething guys who enjoy the adventures of parenting though they haven’t grown up themselves.
