FX's Archer Spies a Season 4 Renewal

FX has greenlit a Season 4 for the Emmy-nominated Archer, the cabler announced on Thursday.

The animated espionage series’ third season — airing Thursdays at 10/9c, with the finale set for March 22 — has been enjoying gains of 32 percent in total viewers and 44 percent in the 18-49 demo, compared to its sophomore run.

FX’s Sons of Anarchy, Already Picked Up for Season 5, Now Renewed for Season 6

“It was an easy decision,” FX EVP Nick Grad said of the pick-up. “[Archer executive producers Adam Reed and Matt Thompson] and our amazing voice cast are delivering one of the funniest and smartest shows on television. It has deservedly grown beyond its initial cult following to become both a critical and ratings success. It is a true asset to the FX comedy roster.”

In fact, it was also announced that FX Productions has inked a two-year overall production deal with Reed and Thompson, retaining the duo for any additional seasons of Archer and any new projects they develop. The deal also has Reed and Thompson’s animation studio, Floyd County Productions, continuing as the animators on Archer and FX’s Unsupervised, as well as tackling any new animated fare produced by FX Productions or developed by FX.

    Fantastic news! Archer is brilliant!
Although I believe you meant March 22, not March 222 hehe.

This SERIOUSLY just made my day. :)

YES. I got into this show towards the end of season two and went back and watched all the episodes in like three days. One of those things I look forward to every week so I’m glad to hear it’ll be back.
I’m surprised the people behind it have anything to do with “Unsupervised”… man is that bad. Also once I got into Archer I tried to watch Bob’s Burgers because I thought it HAD To be funny if the same guy was in it… “nooooooope.” Awful, awful show.
I’ll take a comedy block of Archer, Family Guy, and American Dad.
