Fall TV Preview

Vampire Diaries Hot Shots: Damon/Elena Party; Stefan/Klaus Terrorize; Tyler/Caroline Look Cute!

It’s Elena’s party and she’ll schmooze with Damon (and Alaric) if she wants to!

Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries is right around the corner, and The CW is giving fans a taste of what to expect with not one, not two, but nine new photos from the much-anticipated premiere (airing Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8/7c). So, what’s the Mystic Falls gang up to come summer’s end?

Elena is preparing to celebrate her 18th birthday — minus main squeeze Stefan, who is running around on a reign of terror with the big bad Klaus. But don’t worry, Damon is there to keep her company, as are Tyler and Caroline — though it looks like they’re keeping each other more company than anyone else.

Scope out the aforementioned Vampire Diaries Season 3 premiere pics below.

Tee hee! Can’t wait. Looks great. They really know how to keep each episode really good in this series; there are rarely any duds. Wonder when we’ll see Katherine again though.

  2. Dewsterling says:

Hmmm…I would gladly never see the Elena/Damon-thing now that Somerhalder and Dobrev are doing the real thing. It’s boring and typically actors who are [together] in real life have little or no on-screen chemistry. What I do look forward to is Caroline and Tyler’s lethal relationship. I can’t imagine that wolves fare much better than vampires when bitten by their opposite.

    • Mark says:

Well, you won’t be rid of the Damon/Elena stuff. It’ll be a big part of the show, probably as long as it’s running. The whole damn show is kind of about that triangle.

And I like their chemistry. The “real couple/chemistry” thing is hardly a rule. Katie Holmes and Josh Jackson were dating during the filming of Kevin Willimson’s last show and they had by far the best chemistry on that show.

    • Guess says:

To be honest, I think Damon and Elena have about as much potential as Jeremy and Bonnie: forced couples I’m forced to deal with. Hopefully, Caroline and Tyler will outgrow the love triangle nonesense the writers forced them to deal with and become a bona fide couple before the ratings suffer as much.

      • Captain says:

Yeah, the whole “ruining Stefan’s character to push Elena towards Damon” thing kind of makes it seem like Elena and Stefan will get back together at some point. This just feels like giving the Damon/Elena fans what thy want so they can reunite her with Stefan at a later date without pissing everyone off. I have no problem with that because Damon sucks as a character when he’s in love with Elena. Where’s Season 1 Damon?

  3. Guess says:

So no Bonnie in the premiere, no Jeremy in Elena’s birthday party and Elena toying around with Damon and Alaric now that Jenna is gone?! Sounds like an episode I’ll skip altogether

    • Jamie says:

How can you say thay won’t be in it because of a few pics?

It’s an idiotic reason not to watch because you ASSUME so.

    • Anonymous says:

Then why are you going through the pics? If you’re gonna skip the episode, just skip it, why announce?

    • Hailey says:

Maybe they didn’t want to show the Bonnie or Jeremy it doesn’t mean they aren’t in it they just might not be a big part of it. Nothing in the picture suggests Elena is toying with either of them and that hair looks curly for all you know it’s Katherine.

  4. Jenny says:

Matt stay the f*** away from Caroline. Tyler and Caroline are epic together.:)

    • Fan says:

I hate the word epic…over used!

    • username says:

So agree. I really don’t want them to go with a love triangle route with Matt/Caroline/Tyler. Tyler and Caroline are the best couple on the show, and I don’t want it ruined with a stupid love triangle. Caroline deserves better after the way Matt treated her anyway.

  5. Sarah says:

Tyler and Caroline > anyone else

    • Guess says:

At this point Caroline and Tyler are the only couple that does make sense and even then they shove a love triangle on them. Matt should have his own storyline, in fact everyone should have had a storyline by now: it’s the third season and all TVD relies on are “pretty pictures” and promises of love triangles.

  6. Livie says:

Ya’ll r CRAZY! I LOOOVE Damon and Elena! It has nothing to do with their supposed “outside of work Relationship”. It has to do with, that Damon is a better person FOR Elena. She makes him good, and that is a GOOD thing! Stefan needs to LEAVE. He’s attractive, he coulld find someone else. Maybe he’ll fall in love with Damon and Elena’s love child like Jacob in Twilight. :P

    • Guess says:

That’s the problem, it makes Damon a generic stereotype: the woobie. The character has lost all substance and the love triangle all conflict because, if the point is to piss off Stefan then without Stefan there’s no point to it.

    • Sarah says:

I am 100% with you on that one Livie !!
Stefen and Elena are great together, but Damon is fun and they really hit it off ! And for the people who don’t like the new Damon, I don’t see much difference between the new Damon and the season 1 Damon, he’s just as fun and rude, he just doesn’t kill anybody lol

      • username says:

They have “pussified” Damon, that is the problem. The fact that he was pining over Katherine, and now Elena is what ruined him. I would like for once a badass hot guy character that DOESN’T fall in love with the naive heroine, and she starts to change him for the better. Not to mention it makes Elena seem like a terrible person- falling in love with someone who killed her brother (regardless if he’s alive or not, when Damon did it, he didn’t know he had the ring), abused her friends, and was a heartless murderer.

  7. Jeri says:

This show is not a stereotype. It can pull off things other shows only dream of. Yeah, Jenna dying was not a lot of fun, they had a lot of death and fighting to stay alive (so to speak) to deal with last season.

It’s still a fun show but if you don’t dig it go watch a comedy. They won’t pester you with life and death occurrences, just what kind of pizza to have.

  8. Jeri says:

Also, I like Jeremy whether he’s with Bonnie or someone else.

  9. Damongirl26 says:

Damon and Elena may have a thing and if you read the books you know what happens and that what is happening now doesn’t happen in the books.the books are much better than the show but I still love the chemistry between Damon and elena.Jared padelecki in supernatural married the second ruby and Chad Michael Murray and Sophia bush were married in real life when they were a couple on one tree hill.So when and if they show damon and Elena getting physical then it would be amazing because I rather have her with Damon than stefan :)

  10. fan says:

At this point, I’m just gald that Ian Somerhalder never got the gig in True Blood or Jason Stackhouse would be a stereotype too

  11. Maria says:

Seriously guys, u don’t know how much Damon has to take with Stefan always kissing or smooshing his girl on screen. So, he too needs a little action with her to stake his claim. Let him have his fun too. Way to go Damon, have fun with ur girl, u deserve it.

  12. Amanda says:

As far as Stefan being gone…yeah that won’t last. Am I the only one who remembers that he was building up a tolerance to human blood? He was playing Klaus….he has more power and control of himself than Klaus knows at this point in his “evil plans.”

  13. AnnieM says:

I’ve read all the VD books. I actually think the TV series is better, with one exception – Matt. He was a great character and a loyal friend in the books. I was really liking the relationship developing with Caroline on the show. I think Caroline & Tyler are much more interesting as *friends*. In the books, they were the 2 biggest a-holes ever – not so on TV. I’ll be bummed to see the Matt/Caroline romance end if that’s where it’s going. :-(

  14. Ashton says:

Damon and Elena have amazing chemistry on and off screen. She made him feel again which is so sweet and touching. Damon is still a Bad boy….. Elena isn’t gonna change him…. She just shows him that his not alone and his capable of being loved. Plus Damon is really sexy!!!!!.(: I’ve never been a fan of Stefan anyways… I see him and Elena being friends.. Nothing more because there’s no passion or excitement there. One look at Damon and Elena and u can see the intensity of there emotions.
