TVLine Items: 24 Vet Is Rizzoli's Pal, Thrones Casting News, AMC Legend Returns, and More

Many 24 fans are “counting the minutes” until Annie Wersching pays a visit to Rizzoli & Isles. Until then, TVLine has the details on her role.

Wersching, who Tweeted about the gig earlier this month, will appear on the just-returned TNT drama as Nicole Mateo, a mother devastated by the recent abduction of her daughter in broad daylight. She’s also a longtime friend of Detective Rizzoli (Angie Harmon), who worked undercover with Nicole’s husband during her Drug Control Unit days.

A recent NCIS guest star and one of the two leads of the ABC pilot Partners, which wasn’t picked up for the fall, Wersching will appear in Rizzoli‘s seventh Season 2 episode, airing Monday, August 8.

The best Voice contestant meets the best mainstream country artist? Holla!

Someone remind me who Verla Grubbs was on AMC, please.

Bleh, Kimberly is returning to OLTL? Ugh, it’s already bad enough they canceled the show. Why do they have to ruin its final days with someone who is such a bad actress, a terrible character, and not to mention has the face of an insect? Every time she appears on screen I have to hide my eyes in horror for fear they will be burned out of my head from the sight of her. This makes the mental list in my head of horrible things the show has done since its cancellation news, including losing Robin Strasser, losing Gina Tognini, this whole horrible organ donation storyline that makes being an organ donor look like a bad thing, bringing in a potential new love interest for Starr (when she and James are so cute together!) and moving way too slowly on the return of Roger Howarth. They need to speed that storyline up. The clock is ticking on your shelf life, OLTL.
